A Marine Corps survey shows 17 percent of male Marine respondents say they would likely leave the Corps if women move into combat positions.
The survey says that number jumps to 22 percent if women are assigned involuntarily to those jobs.
Results of the survey of 53,000 Marines were released to The Associated Press on Friday.
Mission almost Accomplished
Hussein’s hoping for the largest number possible.
The goal is to remake the armed forces into a Chavez/Castro-like politicized military force.
All part of the big plan, IMHO. Next... the draft because we won’t have enough people in the military.
With the coming budget cuts more than 17% of Marines are going to get involuntarily RIFFed anyway. Isn’t THAT convenient to the anti-military social engineers?
Beam me up, Scottie.....
What, they don’t want to join tea parties and nag the terrorists to death?
Agreed.
The idea behind queers and women in combat is to undermine the warrior mentality, destroy morale, and weaken all of our armed forces. Never forget, Bo is not at war with America’s enemies, he is at war with American Patriots.
Exactly.
And I wonder if the numbers of those who would leave aren’t really higher. I wonder how many respondents were afraid that their replies could be traced back to them and bring repercussions upon them.
The few, the proud, the wimens and fags competing for any remaining patriot’s affections...
Mission accomplished!
I know many Conservatives are not in agreement with seeing female soldiers in direct combat roles. I have my own concerns about it, as well as basic cocerns about the living conditions - the “extras” needed to be imposed as well as imperfect conditions that need to be accepted - of men and women serving together in the military. Humans are imperfect and “the flesh is weak” as they say. I often wonder about the young female soldiers who become pregnant out of wedlock; curious how many of them would have met that condition if they had NOT been in the military.
However,
People need to consider the results of the survey for what they say, which is more about the Marines themselves (78-83% of them in favor) than it is about policy makers.
Majorities of men and women see the possible roles for a woman in society differently than twenty years ago, whether they are Liberal or Conservative in all other ways.
Posse Comitatus does NOT cover the USMC; Marines very well could be used in the continental USA if the SHTF.
For every Marine that leaves because of this PC stuff, there are 30% more who remain, but value the traditions of The Corps, and are MAD.
Mad at The Regime.
And, uh.....WHAT does that mean, hmm...?
I’d like to see that survey. I’m betting most decide to get out when their enlistment time is up anyway. This could be just one of numerous reasons why.
Not that being deployed 3 times in one enlistment would be a factor./sarc
They should restart? the policy of not allowing any grunts to be married. What’s the point of being married if policies are doing everything the seemingly can to get you killed and/or divorced?
I can't think of any reason we shouldn't open up the "job opportunities" to everybody and anyone. Combat's just like video games now, right?
Just think how a little more equal opprtunity would've helped a whole lot at Normandy or Tarawa, or Iwo Jima, or Inchon, or Hue City, or Fallujah.
Sarcasm light off.
I would like to submit a secret poll of Marines, with the following questions.
1) Do you want women in combat roles? (Y/N)
2) Do you want women in combat? (Y/N)
3) Would you be willing to send women out to draw fire? (Y/N)
4) Would you be willing to frag a female officer or NCO if she fouled up and got your buddies killed? (Y/N)
5) Would you like to frag gay guys for no particular reason? (Y/N)
6) Would you like to frag the ambitious, ass-kissing officers who wanted gays in the Corps and women in combat to appease a bunch of anti-military fruitcakes in Washington and maybe get promoted? (Y/N)
7) Would you mind if two good looking female Marines put on a lesbian show in the barracks? (N)
