I had to come on to FR and post the following discussion that just took place at lunch that I had with a law enforcement agent that I am currently working with and a general practitioner who happen to be dining at a booth next to ours.
The television was on as the President was giving his speech about his 23 executive orders. When the discussion arrived about mental health and giving up personal information under the HIPPA act.
The physician stated that if Americans read about Obamacare a year ago they would have seen that the foundation was clearly there for this to be implemented anyway.
He said the bottom line is, doctors have been made cops or "agents" now for the government and are basically ratting out all kinds of information to them and other agencies that are covered under the umbrella of information access that Obamacare grants.
His one example was this:
If you have a history of anxiety attacks...the physician can now recommend to homeland security and the reporting agencies that receive the reports of "YOUR WELL BEING" on whether or not you should possess a weapon or not in your home. If a history of panic, depression, or bi-polar disorders exist in the HOUSEHOLD...your house will be checked off as a home that CAN NOT OR SHOULD NOT OWN A FIRE ARM.
Did you read that? Read it again.
The doctor and officer said this was another way of Obama and the government showing who were the weak links in society and leave them without the ability to defend themselves or have a voice other than to be medicated and monitored by the federal government as well and that routine checks can be made by law enforcement officers via a warrant operation set up by ATF to sweep your home for weapons.
There is so much more to go on here but I had to get this posted on what these 2 professionals were speaking about this afternoon...this is so much worse than anyone is even talking about.

And this was exactly part of the argument AGAINST Ocare at the time. There were those out there screaming about this (and oh so many other provisions) and too many didn’t seem to care
I'm a doctor and I've never heard of this. Doubt it's true, for lots of reasons.
Having spent some time on a shrink’s couch in the past, I’m certain I’ll become a target. They don’t care WHY you were they, they care that you were there at all.
What makes me curious is if these shrinks realize this is going to decimate their practices? People will never go for psychological counseling for anything knowing that they might have their doors busted down for being “anxious.”
FWIW, I suffered from depression due to alcohol abuse and the loss of girlfriend. Once I started attending AA and realized I had a problem, I’ve never looked back. Been sober for years and never been back to that doctor.

Stay away from doctors. They are bad for your health.
I'm not a bit surprised. My optometrist informed me a few years ago that if I don't agree to buy the glasses he thinks I need, he's under some sort of moral obligation to inform the motor vehicle agency in our state so they can pull my driver license. Didn't matter to him that tilting my old glasses gave me 20/20 vision.
It's a new world. Doctors work for the insurance companies, and the state is gradually taking over the insurance racket. So our liberty must be sacrificed to the new god whose creed is "Cover Your A**."
Is it "can" or MUST?
The AMA knew this in 1945 and they were the very first to sound the alarm about the control of the population by communists.
Now we have an administration working to complete the Marxist dream.

If true doc, ask each patient if they voted for obama. Then can recommend no firearm for them, if voted obama.

Get patsy doctors to label sane people insane. Get patsy doctors to label freedom loving patriots as “dangerous”.
It’s Orwellian and Newspeak. It is evil. It must be opposed and defeated. Of course when the libtards run stuff if you don’t see things their way, you must be nuts. And obviously you’re going to be dangerous.
This is why the bible says in the last days they’re going to kill a lot of people and believe they are doing good (when they are actually doing evil).
Jim, no disrespect at all...but the game has changed and both of these men have been in their profession for 20 plus years each. There was so much in the details of what is coming in under the “new” and “upcoming” laws that maybe you haven’t been aware of it yet. Because the bigger parts of Obamacare go into effect in 2014.
The line was just crossed this morning with the stroke of a pen and Obama said it loud and clear enough to strike up the conversation with a physician and LEO who were not even remotely speaking to each other at the time of the speech.
Things have changed. Big time.
Excellent question. Both believed under the new law it is “must”, I used the word “can” because it wasn’t an option before.
