I'm not a bit surprised. My optometrist informed me a few years ago that if I don't agree to buy the glasses he thinks I need, he's under some sort of moral obligation to inform the motor vehicle agency in our state so they can pull my driver license. Didn't matter to him that tilting my old glasses gave me 20/20 vision.
It's a new world. Doctors work for the insurance companies, and the state is gradually taking over the insurance racket. So our liberty must be sacrificed to the new god whose creed is "Cover Your A**."
He was the very first person I ever knew who subscribed to National Review and he was 19 when he did so.
Most doctors do what they do because they like helping people in their field and they like the lifestyle it provides.
Obamacare negates both of those reasons.
I would venture to say that the majority don't want to be glorified government drudges.
