Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sets a record in Gallups annual most-admired survey, while Sarah Palin falls farther off the popularity radar.
Gallup has run its most-admired man and woman survey since World War II, and in the 2012 edition, Clinton and President Barack Obama kept their top positions among those asked a simple question: What man that you have heard or read about, living today in any part of the world, do you admire most? And who is your second choice?
Clinton was named as most-admired woman for the 17th time since she became a national figure in 1992. Eleanor Roosevelt held the previous record when she was named 13 times as the most-admired woman.
In 2012, Palin had just 2 percent of the polling, finishing in a fifth-place tie. Clinton had 21 percent, followed by First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Condoleezza Rice.

Before the election in my delusion and belief from several sources that Romney would win the election, I’d have said bullshit to this poll. Not now.
Today at the tail end of the Boortz show (who I actually can’t stand but was a captive listener) there was a black lady, Monica (yes, I can tell when someone is black when speaking - it’s racist, get the hell over it).
She said she was calling to tell Boortz he was right about all the “leeches”. Only her leeches were rich people who stole from her and her sisters and brothers by not paying their taxes, forcing Monica and the bruthas to pay rich man’s tax bills.... I rest my case.
Maybe You and Perry should be more concerned with Building the Texican Union than worrying about what Sarah does.
Because you say so? Or, do you have links to back up your *statements*?
I don't recall reading/hearing anywhere that Perry told Palin to get out of Texas. I do, however, recall Palin bringing out a crowd for a Perry rally.
GOOD GOD, what insane asylum do they go to get this BS? I mean the Kenyan the most admired man???
that’s what we get for living in a communist controlled country. The media/progressives/hollyweird run the place.
All right, just who voted for the honkey?
That’s why kim kardashian excels clinton.
the stupidity is overwhelming, as demonstrated by the fool prince getting a second term. Welcome to the “Fool Nation” and death of America.
And Hitlery was first in both categories.
Gotta real live one here...must still be shakin' off some of that rotgut New Years Eve tequila.
Make Palin Secretary of State, and see how quickly her celebrity increases again.
It seems most Americans can’t remember anything beyond last night’s TV news or “Entertainment Tonight.”
So American’s prefer crusty pants over the beautiful Sarah Palin. I guess Pravda is in full swing
Gotta find a way to quite constantly thinking about Sarah somehow.
I have to admit I've become less positive and hopeful than I thought possible (for me).
I do hope she reengages, it will be interesting to see if she does. If we (the conservative movement) don't find someone who is a capable leader, or even better, multiple leaders, those who will step forward and can unite us, it's all over. Reading FR lately (I post very little now) has made me realize how difficult it will be to unite conservatives, this is not going to be easy.
Although the Media thinks they have destroyed her, but when the Walls come tumbling down Sarah will be there to help pick up the pieces.
They must have been doing the polling in Cleveland.
LOL, Ask your Senator who put him in office. Ted Cruz credits Palin with his shocking win over Dewhurst.
Perry endorsed Dewhurst who was the automatic winner of course, at least, until he lost to Palin's candidate.
Palin also gave us our only Senate pick up, with Deb Fischer over Senator Bob Kerry in Nebraska.
"Poll: Rick Perrys endorsement is a net minus for Dewhurst, Palins is a plus for Cruz"
"Texas' Biggest Loser In GOP Senate Race? For Rick Perry, The (Tea) Party's Over"
From Akins to Dewhurst, and Pete Hegseth, Perry met with no success in Senate endorsements, in fact, he met with terrible and damaging embarrassment.
Happy New Year, Everyone!! I don’t recall Governor Perry telling Sarah Palin to get the heck out of Texas.
Democrat Senate Seat?
Better check your medicine schedule. Your PDS is flaring up.
But you did manage to (barely) make a point. Palin should run for the Senate. Didn’t she move to Arizona? She bought a home there?
Being a talking head on Fox is a dead-end job. She needs to re-enter politics.
Palin did get some good conservative candidates elected to various offices, but beyond that she can't directly deliver.
Look at Romney. He got 60 million people to vote for him to Obama's 65 million, yet you don't hear a peep from Romney.
Why didn't he try to parlay that support into a faction to give him a platform from which to speak? Instead, he just slinks away as if none of it mattered?
Romney could have been speaking out publicly on the fiscal cliff, even after losing the election by a few points. He still speaks for 60 million people, which is more than Boehner or Reid could say.
Right now, Palin just speaks for herself. To be relevant, she needs to convince a few million people to vote for her again, and then get into a federal body where she can deliver directly.

Fifth place is not all that bad, considering SP has all but retreated and the others hold the highest office & position of all women around the globe, thanks to marrying presidents and, or being a media billionaire, with teams of consults & media making them appear accomplished, brilliant and terribly special 24/7.
Ick.
