At least 20 House Republican members have gotten together, discussed this and want to unseat Speaker Boehner--and are willing to do what it takes to do it, Meyer said. Thats more than enough to get the job done, but the one problem these guys face is they need a leader to coalesce behind.
Meyer said the conservatives have considered House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) to take the helm after Boehner is knocked out. His opposition from the right to the Senate fiscal cliff deal that Vice President Joe Biden cut with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is a sign Cantor may try for the job.
AMA is hardly the only conservative entity aware of the rekindled effort afoot to unseat Boehner. Another conservative with inside knowledge of the effort told Breitbart News that the movement has "new focus and juice," and if enough members go to Boehner telling him they wont support his re-election, that Americans should watch for him to resign gracefully.
The vote for Boehners re-election as Speaker happens on Thursday, two days after Boehners decision to support the Senate "fiscal cliff" deal Vice President Joe Biden cut with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on New Years Eve.

I think Boehner is out.
I’ve always felt that Boehner doesn’t have the consciousness to be a committed leader...and not sure that Cantor does, either.
Certainly Rube Goldberg could not have come up with a worse deal than what Boehner pulled-off yesterday.
In one fell swoop he agreed to raise taxes on the Eeeeeeevil Rich (conceding the Dem point that Reagnomics don’t work), while at the same time allowing the cut in payroll tax to expire, so Obama will STILL be able to rally “The 98%” against Eeeeeevil Republicans.
At the same time shattering his own party into splinters.
“Incompetent” just does not begin to do it justice.
His being “out” would be a pleasant surprise, but we haven’t been pleasantly surprised since the 2010 election, I think it is a pattern, the game is lost, this will only be the next proof of that.
When bohner unseated a lifelong Democrat he did it the right way- with conservative ideals.
But he has been in Washington too long. Everything is looked at as ow it affects Republicans, not the country.
His speach explaining the cliff deal says it all- it was ALL about the politics of it, and nothing about the country.
get er done
“I think Boehner is out.”
I hope you are right, but I hope his replacement is not Cantor.
We need someone like Tom Price or Louie Gohmert.
God help us.
Get rid of that loser Boner
Tweet Republicans:
http://www.gop.gov/republicans/twitter
they fell for the news media’s scare tactic, the bs the media created “fiscal cliff”
The Republicans want to be allowed to stay at court in D.C.,
while the rest of the country goes to hell!
Wanna’ take bets on the upcoming debt ceiling? I bet it goes up, oh hey, not a lot, just a “little more” like last time.
For those that follow the inner workings of the party:
Is it a big deal that the leadership under him voted no instead of showing support??????
Bonhead’s payday will come after he loses the Speakership and resigns. He will join a K Street firm and reap his reward for screwing future generations.
You felt it because he has demonstrated it over and over.
I don’t tweet so I’ll just stick my head out the window and yell.
2009-2011 Minority Leader—no fight.
2011-2013 Speaker, no fight.
See a pattern?
I knew the jig was up when The Weeper went to play golf with Zippy in the summer of 2011 during the rating crisis. Bastid.
We are where we are today thanks to John Boehner and Jim Beam.
Continuing resolutions, no repeal of Obamacare, even if for show, no cuts in spending.
A complete failure of leadership that keeps sliding us further behind the eight ball.
And does anyone think this is the man who will defend our Second Amendment rights?
Tom Cotton...
Why don’t you tweet?
That Cantor the Calculator would step out like suggests there are enough votes for a change. I’m not a fan of the guy—not conservative enough and oozing shiftiness—but I’m not sure it’s a job for a man of great character either.
