Getting something that doesn’t involve $330 Billion in new spending? Actually cutting spending?

Cantor has shown himself to be a weasel. He’s posturing for the folks back home in his district right now, but he will throw them down the stairs when the time comes to vote.

Section. 7.
All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

Exactly. Posturing was the first word that came to mind when I saw the headline. Heck, all Republicans are OPPOSED to the bill. How they act on that is what counts.
Debt ceiling and sequestration STILL looming are powerful tools for leverage..IF we know how to use them.

Unless he thinks he has enough support to replace Bonehead as Speaker, I see Cantor falling in line with the other RINOs.

Sorry, but like Boner, Cantor has shown himself to be a limp-wristed POS. My guess is that Boner, Cantor, McCarthy, and the rest of the GOPe Leadership have known about this since McConnell did.
This is nothing more than an obligatory statement by Cantor. He already knows the fix is in as well.
I'm done with the GOP. I'm changing to Independent. Rush can harp all he wants about unity. If this is unity, I don't want it. Leaving the GOP is my last and only form of power i have. Let the GOP die!

Of course...You really think all 241 Repubs are going to vote against it?? Only 25 have to say yes to pass it.
To: BRL
They will compromise by taking it up to $1.01 of spending cuts for $41 of tax increases.
********
Hilarious! But sadly not far from the truth.
This is Obama’s idea of a “balanced approach”. LOL
To: driftdiver
Right. The House sent Dingy Harry a bill last August. Our once dignified Senate amended it this early morning and sent it back to the House. I say table it and let this Congress expire. Start over.
