He single-handedly delivered the swing vote to approve Obamacare and perhaps even crushed the American health system that has been the envy of the world.
WND has selected U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. for its first-ever Benedict Arnold Award.
“There are lots of bad guys out there who would qualify as ‘Villain of the Year,’ but precious few candidates for the ‘Benedict Arnold Award,’” explained WND Vice President and Managing Editor David Kupelian. “Benedict Arnold, after all, was a good guy; he was an American general in the Revolutionary War who fought valiantly on behalf of the Continental Army – that is, until, for reasons yet unknown, he defected to the British side and betrayed the cause he had formerly served.”
Kupelian added, “That pretty much describes Justice Roberts, who gained the enthusiastic support of conservatives and other Constitution-lovers by virtue of his earlier rulings and judicial temperament, and yet betrayed that trust in a devastating way. And we still don’t know why he did it.”

On June 28, 2012, Roberts joined the left of the Court in a dramatic 5-4 decision to uphold President Obama’s signature legislation. The Court ruled that Obamacare’s individual mandate is not constitutional under the Constitution’s Commerce Clause, but is reasonably considered a tax valid under Congress’ authority to “lay and collect taxes.”
“The Affordable Care Act is constitutional in part and unconstitutional in part. The individual mandate cannot be upheld as an exercise of Congress’s power under the Commerce Clause,” Roberts wrote. “That Clause authorizes Congress to regulate interstate commerce, not to order individuals to engage it. My choice for Benedict Arnold is John Kerry. He actually met with the north Vietnamese in Paris. There are others also.
An apt award. John Roberts is walking garbage. A complete waste of human skin!
To see just how far down Progressives have dragged this nation, one need only consider how a prior generation knew they had to AMEND THE CONSTITUTION to ban alcohol. Yet now, one of the so-called “strict constructionist” conservatives on the Court itself thought it was A-OK for the Federal government to seize control of the entire healthcare system without such an amendment.

Bottom line? Roberts is compromised and likely blackmailed. His family was threatened or he has dark secrets the obama regime was threatening to make public. In the old days the justice would have taken that bullet for his country.

Obama admin is possible blackmailer, but do not discount the health industry who stand to make tons of money from Obamacare. In 2005, there was an “investigation” that went nowhere into Roberts’ shady South American adoptions.
This would appear to be when Roberts was pwned, saved for the “right” occasion later.
Roberts is more like Forest Gump inserting himself into history.
The hell we don't. He did it because he believed Sparky the Wonder Commie's crap about “upholding the validity of the Court” or some other similar reverse psychology bull$hit that a weak-minded panty waist would fall for; instead of doing the right (and legal) thing, Roberts did what was popular, so he wouldn't be yelled at and hated by those who will always hate him regardless of his actions. Roberts exemplifies the limp-wristed, morally gutless POS metrosexuals that have infested the so-called “DC elite” for decades, and it's only going to get worse from here...
True, but Obama is only half-American.
I’ve lost respect for Roberts not so much because he made his choice but because since making it he has made no effort to come before the public and defend his choice. Recent photos of him suggest a person who’s backbone has turned to jello.
However, I can see his point that Obamacare’s “penalty” is really just a tax. I really is just a tax.
At least Mr. Arnold had the courtesy to abscond to another country. Neither Mr. Roberts, nor Mr. Kerry have. They are both still here — annoying us.
