President Vladimir Putin signed a controversial measure banning the adoption of Russian children by U.S. families, the Kremlin said Friday.
The action could affect hundreds of American families seeking to adopt. Americans adopted close to 1,000 Russian children last year, according to U.S. State Department figures.

You would think we would have enough white kids here in America for adoption, but thanks to abortion ,I suppose they are scarce.
Another thing about adopting kids here in America is that thanks to judges and newer interpretations of laws, the Natural parents can come back years later and make a claim on those kids they gave away.
If Putin has a worry about Homo’s adopting Russian kids I would say it is justified.One thing is sure Putin has no respect whatsoever for the cowardly regime of Obama as displayed by a soft headed open to concussion Hillary Clinton.What a joke America is becoming.

My heart breaks for prospective parents who have already seen a photo or video of their child/children and now will never be able to adopt them. Speaking from experience, once you’ve seen the picture/video of “your” child, you cling to that image, pray for them, imagine how their lives are now, imagine how they could be in your family...so, for the folks who were adopting, it’s very sad, but let’s not forget the orphans now left in the Russian orphanages. No one is rushing in to adopt these children, no one will be there when they reach the age to leave—no one except those individuals who trick these young orphans into prostitution, sex slaves, worker camps, drug runners, crime gangs, etc. Orphans have NO status in Russia, and these young people are left to their own devices for their survival—and they quickly find out or rediscover it’s a mean, cruel world.
Yes, a lot has gone very wrong with quite a few international adoptions, where both parents and the children have been ill-equipped and/or ill-treated for their new environment. Changes in the adoption process had already been made, but the system is still so messed up (the cultural differences, the judicial differences, etc.) that serious problems still were present.
Very sad...and yes, abortion here in America has virtually eliminated orphanages, and the courts have so negated the adoptive parents’ rights that folks who want children on a permanent basis are going outside the country.
Walk the path of prospective parents and you’ll experience a lot of pain and frustration. We want children so much we go thru hell to get them. Other parents who can conceive on their own don’t go thru background checks, financial checks, in home checks, mental and physical health checks, etc. Imagine if you had to do that just to hold the child you want!
Yeah, the world is very upside down, and it’s definitely not fair. Only God can make good come out of any of this, and believe me, I relied on Him before, during and after our successful Russian adoption. God is definitely my rock!

The kids are abused and neglected in the orphanages. Then released into a world that hates them. They have no chance for a normal life in Russia. They’re better off being adopted by Sodomites. Putin is a cold monster.
You’re assigning attributes to Russians that don’t exist. They hate their orphans and they hate Americans. It was only a matter of time before they punish both.
I have a number of Russian friends and have traveled there myself, and you’re wrong. I know them very well. The treatment of their orphans by American adoptive parents has been a really sore issue for them ever since that woman sent that 7-year-old boy back to Moscow with nothing. Again, this is not politics, but a backlash against what they perceive as mistreatment of their own.
Plenty of babies here in the US needing adoption. I know, I have four.

This is not true. Children legally removed from their bio parents cannot be taken back. Ever.

You are at least partly correct. The Russians recoil at the thought of children being raised by gay couples, or anyone else they consider to be morally derelict.
Other side of the coin is that Russia is cratering demographically. Putin needs to keep as many white Russian children there as possible if he has any hope of preventing the Russian Far East from becoming a new province of China.
then-Pittsburgh Penguins coach Kevin Constantine gave an interview to the local press about his two adopted children. Both were adopted in Canada when he was coaching there. He and his wife both commented that they would never adopt in the U.S. because under our laws the adoption never really does become final.
He’s been gone for about 10 yrs. so maybe things are different now. I don’t know.
And so I’m sure we’re going to see an uptick in Russian parents adopting Russian orphans. You should start holding your breath now until then. This would all be well and good, and the people who support the Evil Putty would be telling the truth, if Russians cared about their orphans. They don’t. So the people you know wringing their hands over abuse by Americans don’t really care about the kids, they just don’t want Americans to have them.
This is a country where 70 babies are aborted for every 100 live birth. They don’t have the moral high ground in this argument.
