~Favorite Walk or Walking Songs ~
Pantera Walk
Can't you see I'm easily bothered by persistence One step from lashing out at you... You want in to get under my skin And call yourself a friend I've got more friends like you What do I do?
[Pre] Is there no standard anymore? What it takes, who I am, where I've been Belong You can't be something you're not Be yourself, by yourself Stay away from me A lesson learned in life Known from the dawn of time
[Chorus] Respect, walk
Run your mouth when I'm not around It's easy to achieve You cry to weak friends that sympathize Can you hear the violins playing you song? Those same friends tell me your every word
[Chorus]
Are you talking to me? No way punk

Patsy Cline - Walkin' After Midnight
I go out walkin' after midnight Out in the moonlight, just like we used to do I'm always walkin' after midnight Searchin' for you
I walk for miles along the highway Well, that's just my way of sayin' I love you I'm always walkin' after midnight Searchin' for you
I stop to see a weepin' willow Cryin' on his pillow Maybe he's cryin' for me And as the skies turn gloomy Night winds whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be
I go out walkin' after midnight Out in the starlight, just hoping you may be Somewhere a-walkin' after midnight Searchin' for me
I stop to see a weepin' willow Cryin' on his pillow Maybe he's cryin' for me And as the skies turn gloomy Night winds whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be
I go out walkin' after midnight Out in the starlight, just hoping you may be Somewhere a-walkin' after midnight Searchin' for me

It's one of Schuberts "barbershop" quartets. The poem by Seidl is rather sappy.
"Do moonbeans reach into the grave?"
In the last line, the grave answers back:
"Come and see!" In other words, "You see any moonbeans down here, sucker?!"
It's hair-raising!

I have them, but use them only when necessary.
I’ve had lasik and love being glasses free...sometimes I need the readers, but more often than not I can get along without them.

Fats Domino: "Walking to New Orleans"
Interesting pick, when
"I'm Walkin'" by Fats is the more associated with him.
I love the way he plays the piano. He treats it like it is his most reliable best friend who would never let him down. Contrast that with, say Carole King (check her "One Fine Day" video), where she is trying to beat the poor piano up.
If I wanted to have a VERY pleasant dinner party, and could name any celbrities from the 20th century, Fats Domino, Dean Martin and Gilbert O'Sullivan would make my short list. Gracious men who would never let a host feel inadequate.
Oh, and for other "Walking" songs, I'd like to throw out Del Shannon's last record,
"Walk Away".
I'm waiting for someone to suggest "Take a Walk on the Wild Side".

From 1979, before a crowd of 2,000 in The Netherlands, an almost painfully young Andy Summers, Stewart Copeland and Gordon Sumner (”Sting”) otherwise known as The Police, turned in a very nice live performance of their ska-influenced “Walking On The Moon.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKbwknTyQX8
I’ve always preferred their early, ska-tinged music to anything later, which became too mainstream and too political. This was one of the better and better known ones from that era. But, “Man In A Suitcase” was nice, too, but lesser known.
To: Dr. Sivana
I posted the Lou Reed video of that song with some trepidation.

If "stompin'" is akin to "walkin'"....then...
