Facebook bans Gandhi quote as part of revisionist history purge
naturalnews.com ^ | December 27, 2012 | Mike Adams

(NaturalNews) The reports are absolutely true. Facebook suspended the Natural News account earlier today after we posted an historical quote from Mohandas Gandhi. The quote reads:

"Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest." - Mohandas Gandhi, an Autobiography, page 446.

This historical quote was apparently too much for Facebook's censors to bear. They suspended our account and gave us a "final warning" that one more violation of their so-called "community guidelines" would result in our account being permanently deactivated.

They then demanded we send them a color copy of a "government issued identification" in order to reactivate our account. Our account was removed from suspension just minutes before InfoWars posted its article on this Facebook censorship, and the Facebook page is now functioning

The irony is that Ghandi was doing this same thing against the British. His good fortune was that the British weren’t the Nazi’s.

Sounds rather like a sort of invitation to believe in ahemsa ~ sarcastically.

You have to remember the Brits had been occupying all or most of India for a very long time ~

If Harry Truman had not told the European powers to give up their Asian and/or Middle Eastern empires, the Brits would still be there ~ and India would be pretty much the same today as it was then.

Another reason I would never have an account with this kind of site.

1984 is now. The enemy controls or tries to control all the communications channels, and revises history at will.

So why hasn’t some clever conservative started something like “Freedombook”?

Oh, you mean like ‘freedomworks’?

And these:

“Though defensive violence will always be ‘a sad necessity’ in the eyes of men of principle, it would be still more unfortunate if wrongdoers should dominate just men.”
- St. Augustine

“Without doubt one is allowed to resist against the unjust aggressor to one’s life, one’s goods or one’s physical integrity; sometimes, even ‘til the aggressor’s death.... In fact, this act is aimed at preserving one’s life or one’s goods and to make the aggressor powerless. Thus, it is a good act, which is the right of the victim.”
- St. Thomas Aquinas

I don’t understand how people have so much trouble with Facebook. I’ve posted all sorts of stuff, and I’ve never had a word of trouble.

I think it might depend on how many people would notice what it posted :)

Abine

I installed it about a year ago and love it. It's free, quick, and effective.

In May of 1940 a serious chunk of America thought Hitler was the cats meow.

Sure it would’ve. India was a nation of 400 Million, being run by some 10000 Britishers. Frankly, the sociopolitical changes which had happened in India ensured that independence would come anyway. Long before World War II, Indians were already serving as commissioned officers in the British Indian Army, the largest British Army in the World. Indians were already members of the ICS, the steel frame of the British Empire in India. The end of empire was near. There were just too many Indians in influential positions to be denied, and nationalist sentiment was at an all time high.

1940 was a little early for anyone to have been aware of the evils happening in Hitler’s NAZI Germany. Even in the U.S. most sentiment was to stay out of Europe’s latest war.

Not for anyone who was paying attention. It was clear, by the 1936 Olympics, that he was bad news.
