Terrorists – coming to a school near you

Police ill-equipped to defend against an American Beslan

Authorities fear the school massacre that shook Russia a few years ago may be a dress rehearsal for what al-Qaida plans to do in America – only on a grander scale, launching multiple school attacks simultaneously across the country.

In 2004, Chechen terrorists associated with al-Qaida seized a school building in Beslan, Russia, and slaughtered 338, including 172 children.

Three years later, schools and local police in this country are still unprepared to deal with such an assault, experts warn. Most don’t have response plans for handling a single active shooter, let alone a cell of trained terrorists launching a large-scale attack.

Yet terror cells secreted inside America may be planning to use buses, as well as other vehicles and methods, as a Trojan horse to infiltrate school campuses and massacre students and teachers.

The FBI and Homeland Security Department last month distributed a bulletin to law enforcement across the country warning that Muslims with “ties to extremist groups” are signing up to be school bus drivers. They also noted “recent suspicious activity” by foreigners who either drive school buses or are licensed to drive them.

“The enemy is infiltrating us at all levels, and certainly school bus drivers are one area to look at,” warned retired Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, president of Killology Research Group, an anti-terror consultancy that trains the FBI and other law enforcement. “And how about high school, middle school and elementary school cafeteria workers? Janitors? Delivery people?”

Grossman says some school district security officials he works with have expressed concerns about some of the Muslim employees schools are hiring.

“But no one dares profile them,” he told WND.

“Islamic terrorists are already in place in the U.S. and, yes, that includes bus drivers, cafeteria workers and also

Yes, this article is 6 1/2 years old, but we are at war with Islamists. They started it and it won't be over until there is total and complete unconditional surrender by either us or them. By the way, who do you think the winner will be?

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

The Beltway snipers laid down the template of a ‘skilled’ terrorist group. Throw in Hasan and you can see its obvious that one doesn't need movie plot plans to be a effective killer.

The fact that we don't have large numbers and amounts of waves of islamic killers is something to consider. The ones that get caught don't appear to be competent, nor are they able to conduct such actions without the help of the FBI.

Every classroom needs a call button like in a bank. Or, every teacher needs a pendant, or a bracelet like your grandmother might wear, that can call authorities in the case of an emergency. This technology is cheap and has been around a long time. It is a scandal that it is not in our classrooms already.

This could never happen here. Our schools are gun free zones!

Obviously it’s time to force terrorists to obtain permits, or else outlaw school massacres entirely.

This is REALITY. Refusing to face REALITY doesn’t make it go away. - The states that deal with this REALISTICALLY will be able to handle it if it happens. - The vultures will strike in the “gun free” zones because vultures like easy pickings. - These metrosexual pantywaist liberals make me sick.

They should all have time out corners too so they can send the shooter there so he can think about what he did to get sent to the time out corner...

Really, it’s time to stop being a bunch of little pussies.

If we want the kids in schools to not be sitting ducks for anyone who wants to kill them, then we defend them with serious deadly force.

That’s all, nothing else.

Seems to me that both sides of the issue are in the throes of an irrational panic attack. School shootings have happened in a tiny faction of a percent of our schools and will never be totally eliminated.

The only rational answer is to eliminate the gun free zones and potential shooters will be forced to gamble on who is and isn’t armed.

If we’re talking about islamic terrorism, we could arm every adult and child in a school and it won’t matter one bit if terrorists choose to drive a propane truck into a school and blow it up.

You miss my point. Most teachers will not be able to handle a gun. They are just not bred to it. When crisis confronts, they will choke.

But, they might be able to push a button and call the trained guard. The alarm button will guide the armed guards to the correct place in the school rather than lose time with them scrambling all over the place to figure out where the terrorist is.

No time out corner needed.

You are spot-on, so far. But, it WILL happen, one horrible day. I’ve been talking about all the many “soft targets” w/ LEO friends, since 9-12-01, and they’re dreading the day some of them slip-thru and simultaneously attack multiple schools/hospitals/theaters/offices/malls etc. Beslan x ?

Islam is as incompatable with Western Culture as is commonsense with Liberals.

Islam is to some a religion, and therefore sacrosanct, but as it is a theocracy it is a totally complete government as well. We have a choice. Ignore the religious aspect of the theocracy, and defend the sovereignty of our own government from the assault by the religious aspect of their Theocracy, or stupidly capitulate to their claim of religious freedom.

What’s it going to be?

This means we have to fight not only Islam, but their Marxist allies as well.

You've never been to my local shooting range/sporting club - a fair number of the members and those on the range at any given time are teachers from the local district.

The sooner the better. Let them both overplay their hand, i.e., start an overt act of terrorism or war, and then go after them, one and all, and kill them, all of them and their fellow travelers. Those that don’t have the stomach for it, can at least guard them in concentration camps while the remainder are set up for deportation to the $hitholes they came from. And if their governments don’t take them back, threaten to turn them into dust. Then prevent anymore of their kind to emigrate to the West. Then maybe the West will survive, maybe.Otherwise, it’s lights out for you remainder Judeo-Christian religious practitioners, and your way of life. If you acquiesce, waiver or negotiate, in the end, you will lose. They understand that and have been practicing and probing the Western weaknesses for centuries.

I would think that the most important thing a teacher could do would be protect the students from harm. Everything else should be secondary. If they can’t stand the heat, then find another profession.

Now the headchoppers know that this is a weak, effeminate country that doesn’t even have the manhood to put armed guards at schools.

They are angry, hate-filled subhuman barbarian savages. Normal standards of human behavior don’t apply to them. They would be very happy to do this to one of our schools - they would sing about it, jump up and down in the streets, make videos to watch with halal popcorn.

What happened at Beslan was horrible. It didn’t make it into the American media. (because the media would rather see kids dead than criticize headchoppers) So the average American with his head up his a$$ doesn’t know about Beslan.

I really hate to say this, but there is nothing that the headchoppers can ever do to us that will make our elected officials do what is necessary to eliminate the threat to violence from headchoppers here on our soil. If it didn’t happen after 9/11, it won’t happen ever.

I will never forgive the perpetrators of 9/11 nor their supportors.

Well, I would definitely agree with that.

My apologies for harsh response.

While I am in favor of arming those teachers who believe that they could be effective with a firearm, I also think that most teachers would not be very effective at all. They simply are not trained to kill, nor arrest or subdue.

I am very much in favor of an in school armed response team that is on grounds all the time. Even over night if need be. Certainly such a team could be better directed to a quick response with the type of system you have described.

I am also in favor of other electronic security measures to further back up and assist these armed men in such a way to make them as efficient and effective as possible.

I do not agree with those that say fortifying schools in such a manner creates a police state. It may well create a police school, but I’m ok with that. I want these children to be incredibly well defended.

I am not for gun control at all, except those laws which do attempt to keep weapons out of the hands of known criminals, but we also know that such laws are mostly ineffective, because criminals do not obey laws by definition.

I am for using the gun, the tool and means of freedom, to protect our freedom.

I don’t doubt that at least some of the teachers in my school district are discretely armed regardless of the law.

Back in the early 80s when I was in high school I remember my history teacher cleaning a shotgun at his desk while we took a test.

So.

The question becomes whether the Feds outlaw and confiscate our guns BEFORE the Muzzies give them an excuse to declare martial law, or whether they wait for the Muzzies to create the sort of crisis that gives them an ideal excuse, and THEN round up all our guns.

Obama’s probably appointing a commission to study the dilemma.
