You miss my point. Most teachers will not be able to handle a gun. They are just not bred to it. When crisis confronts, they will choke.

You've never been to my local shooting range/sporting club - a fair number of the members and those on the range at any given time are teachers from the local district.

A fair number of teachers around here are hunters.

That’s great, but it is not common. I know teachers who ae very good with guns, but they are not your average classroom teacher.
