Dick's Sporting Goods removes guns from shelves following Connecticut school shooting

A major sporting goods retailer has pulled all guns from its store nearest to Newtown, Conn., according to a report on CNN.com.

Twenty children and six staff members were fatally shot Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown by a 20-year-old man who then took his own life.

Notice how they have suspended sales on "certain" weapons throughout the country, and "don't know" how long it will last... We need to let these retailers know that suspending or banning gun sales will not decrease crime, or at the least, they need to know they are losing customers because of their decisions. Please call them or email them to let them know the real majority does NOT support gun bans in any way. Thank you for your time!

Also, please drop a note/e-mail or call those that are acting in favor of greater gun freedom/citizen carry laws--retailers, sheriffs, government officials, school districts, etc. We need to let them know we are supporting them or sadly they will only hear from the so-called "majority" who wants more gun control...

I don’t use them anyway. I have a local proprietor and believe in doing business with local merchants whenever I can. Nice, family-owned business, lots of hard to find ammo, too. You won’t get that kind of service or selection from a big box store.

BTW: I sent an email to a local sheriff after seeing an article where he publicly stated that it was time for our teachers to be armed. He wanted to encourage citizen carry/concealed carry, so I wanted to encourage him. He responded very kindly and thanked me for contacting him. A small thing to do, it took all of 5 minutes...

I was in Disk’s the day before this happened looking at rifles. I was specifically looking at high powered pellet rifles. I found one I was going to get but I believe I will be ordering my squirrel punisher online now instead...after I get my new assault rifle tomorrow.

Nothing protects people like a gun, and the first thing these stinking liberals do when they get in trouble is CALL A GUN TO THE SCENE OF THE CRIME.
Anyone who would restrict us with "gun control" should be banned from having ANY security service guard them, including the secret service.
