This posting is not a Lazamataz editorial.

It is a photomeme. Please circulate it widely.

It is hard-hitting. It is enraging. It is meant to be both.

That is because the cognitive disonnence, in our country, is so severe. When you weep for 6 and 7 year olds, then slaughter 150 times as many with impunity and without any sadness or mourning -- and when your government actually FUNDS that slaughter -- then you are completely disconnected from reality.

Truth hits hard, and enrages.

This would be the 'sometimes disturbing' part.

Well done, my friend.

I realize that asking for intellectual honesty and consistency from the left is too much, but putting them on the spot will be well worth the effort.

To the new age leftist, the uterus is sacred, but our Constitution is an outdated piece of trash. They would jettison virtually the entire thing and not just the Second Amendment if they could.

You will never appeal to these people with pleas for logic and consistency. They have no heart or soul.

Laz, I understand and agree with your principles, but now is not the time for politicking. The gun grabbers and everyone else with a political agenda need to take a step back and respect the grief of these families.

I know my FRiends here may disagree. But exploiting a tragedy like this, in addition to it not being respectful of the grief of the families, even for a good cause, is a good way to enrage and enflame the very people you are trying to convince. This approach is not going to resonate with people who are on the fence or disagree with you, and I promise that it will backfire.

You should also put the amount of abortions done every year, I believe it’s something like 1.4 million every year in the US alone.

Over 17,000 moms terminated their pregnancies in Connecticut in 2009.

There was no outrage, no hand wringing of the media, no demands that the senseless violence be remedied by forfeiting more individual freedoms.

There was silence.

Pope Benedict XVI approves of this message.

The Vatican on Friday released the pope's peace message, in which he called for policymakers to think of themselves as peacemakers in economic and social policy. He warned that abortion and gay marriage were threats to peace.

"Those who insufficiently value human life, and in consequence, support among other things the liberalization of abortion perhaps do not realize that in this way they are proposing the pursuit of a false peace," since peace presupposes protecting the weakest, he wrote.

And, for good measure ....

Laws granting legal status for gay unions, he said, "actually harm and help destabilize marriage" by obscuring its specific nature as a union between man and woman that forms the basis of society.

The Second Amendment IS pro-life.

"Among the natural rights of the Colonists are these: First, a right to life; Secondly, to liberty; Thirdly, to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can. These are evident branches of, rather than deductions from, the duty of self-preservation, commonly called the first law of nature...In short, it is the greatest absurdity to suppose it in the power of one, or any number of men, at the entering into society, to renounce their essential natural rights, or the means of preserving those rights; when the grand end of civil government, from the very nature of its institution, is for the support, protection, and defence of those very rights; the principal of which, as is before observed, are Life, Liberty, and Property. If men, through fear, fraud, or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave."

-- Samuel Adams, The Rights of the Colonists

I’d like to know why not a single MSM outlet has given any coverage to the 22 Chinese children who were slashed by a lunatic with a butcher knife on the same day as the Sandy Hook Massacre.
Yeah, I know the answer. Agenda. There wasn’t a gun involved. It was a butcher knife.

3300 innocent American babies are butchered each day

And the Liberal MSM does nothing to stop the slaughter.
actually they endorse it and promote it.

How many abortions were performed in America in 2006 (the year the Sandy Hook first-graders were born)?

Or even just in the state of Connecticut?

I would add that "statistic" -- that number of innocent kids murdered before they were born -- to your poster. Strengthens the tie....

As if it needed strengthening...
