Holder: We Must Answer 'Hard Questions' About Gun Rights
Breitbart ^ | 12/15/12 | Mary Chastain

Posted on 12/15/2012 9:35:32 PM PST by Nachum

Attorney General Eric Holder made a few remarks about the massacre at Newtown, Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary School that should raise some eyebrows.

"As a nation I think we have to ask ourselves some hard questions. We gather too often to talk about these kinds of incidents. We need to discuss who we are as a nation, talk about the freedoms that we have, the rights that we have and how those might be used in a responsible way. But for now I think we should concentrate on dealing with the situation in Connecticut and we are doing, and I said, the best we can at the Justice Department and throughout federal law enforcement."

Mr. Holder has not been one to hide his hatred of guns. In March Breitbart News uncovered a video of Mr. Holder talking to the Woman's National Democratic Club in 1995. He wanted a campaign to "really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way" and to use anti-smoking ads as a way to "change the hearts and minds of people in Washington, DC" about guns.

In Operation Fast and Furious the ATF allowed guns to walk into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Emails have shown officers discussing how to use these stats to enforce tougher gun control laws.

This is rich. Holder hasn’t yet answered the hard questions surrounding his illegal gun running operation to drug cartels.

Liberals completely understand what “shall not infringe” means; they don't care. Remember hearing Obama’s radio address from before he was pResident where he stated the Constitution was a “flawed document”? Apparently, the 2nd amendment was one of the “flaws”. Obama’s arrogance allows him to believe he knows better than the founders. Arrogance and hypocrisy are the two main tenants of liberalism.

We need to discuss who we are as a nation, talk about the freedoms that we have, the rights that we have and how those might be used in a responsible way
Holder talking about 'The Rights We Have' is like Hitler taking about 'The Rights' Jews had. Or Stalin talking about 'The Rights' the people in his USSR had. Or Erich Honecker talking about 'The Rights' the people in his German Democratic Republic (GDR), aka: East Germany, had. And last but not least - Fidel Castro talking about 'The Rights' Cubans have in his little communist paradise.

Not to mention any time that any politician, and that's what Holder really is, talks about "using rights in a responsible away", get ready. They have plans and they don't have anything to do with 'Rights', but with POWER. (Lock and Load FReepers)

an aside; How's this for a 'coincidence'. The Official Motto for Communist East Germany was: "Workers of the world, unite!" The same motto Obama's BFF, Andy Stern, often used for his SEIU.

Isn’t it amazing how the same liberal communist bums that tell us it is a logistical impossibility to round and up and expel ILLEGAL aliens somehow think it is a possibility to confiscate hundreds of millions of guns?

Holder, how about you answering “Hard Questions” about over 2000 counts of accessory to murder in Mexico?

How about answering this question, that if even the Justice Department itself breaks gun laws, why do you expect criminals to follow more laws?

Felonious gun smugglers should not stand on soap boxes to preach.

If even ONE of the six adults who were killed in CT or anyone else at that school had been carrying this may not have happened. The answer isn’t to disarm but to exercise the right to protect oneself and others. CT has the 4th restrictive gun laws in country. On the same day a man in China killed some school kids — with a knife. Should we outlaw knives? As someone else said “It could have been cupcakes”.

Perhaps if a crate of 50 rifles that had been provided by our government to violent cartels via Fast and Furious had NOT been found IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, I wouldn't be so concerned about arming myself and my loved ones.

Yes, perhaps it is time to talk about gun control. Start by releasing all the FNF documents, Mr. Holder. Quit stonewalling.

Actually, it's the bulge in his pants when he talks about it that has us most concerned...

you mean like all those gunsd go to the Mexican cartels and then have then used to kill hundreds of innocent poeple and a border agent.

The question here is how parents are not raising their children and how schools are telling kids it is alright to be different and how all kids are equal.
Once in the real world they can;t cope, they can;t handle the pressure, they can;t understand failure or not being treated as a royal.

THAT IS THE QUESTION

Raise your kids with morals and hard work

You have a loner, who is into Goth which promotes death and torture among other very dark topics, a single parent, and more than likely on psychotropic drugs prescribed by a psychiatrist and there is your recipe for this disaster.

Go back and look at some of the school shooting in the past. The perpetrators were on prescription medicine.

Instead of banning guns we need to ban the over prescribing of drugs to our youth. Also if your going to be a parent accept the job of raising your children properly.

the left forced an agenda and told women they don;t have to stay home and raise their kids.
They have schools and parents who tell teir kids they are all equal, OK to be different and nevr teach kids failure, hard work, morals etc.

It’s abut time these so called parents spent time with their kids, raise them and teach them what is right and wrong not this mamby pamby land crap we see how boys are treated today.

Boys played guns all the time in the past but no one wanted to grab a real gun when older and kill lots of people in one go.
What is different, PARENTING that is what has caused this or there lack of.

Mother works, fathers works, they go out to dinner all the time, never teach kids to cook, clean up after themselves.

I had one of my oldest boys friend over for Sunday dinner, he was 15 last year and could not use a knife and fork, used his hands and said mother works all the time and father is with another woman.
She only buys frozen crap and he cooks that himself, the mother is a school shrink, and then she finds out he was taking drugs and she was amazed.

We knew before her as did everyone else.

Sick of this sH=@ of guns, it;s parenting plain and simple.

The left wanted the destruction of the traditional family and they now reap what they have sown, chickens coming home to roost for the left

modern left wing parenting.
get woman out of house, and a job, promote divorce, have schools raise kids, tell kids it is OK ot be different liek boys wearing make up, tell kids all are equal.
Hell they even make laws like anti bully and hate laws to protect many freaks we see today in schools and trust me I see many .

no hard work, no morals, no manners, no understanding of failure.

Well this is what we get and they want to blame guns which have been around for hundreds of years.

stunning how the left can;t even mention teir failed agendas

Bingo! I could not agree with you more. The left has built this society and culture we now have. The left built it and they own it. This isn't about guns. It's about the failure of parents to raise their offspring and demand that the liberals in the government do it for them. We are definitely reaping what we have sown. The "national conversation" everyone is now demanding shouldn't be about guns. It should be about the piss poor people we are raising and "educating" in this country. With uncontrolled immigration, it is about to get a lot worse than it is now.
