Romney internal polls mystery deepens after New Republic report
Philly.com (Inquirer and Daily News) ^ | 11/30/2012 | Scott Bomboy

It may take election experts years to unravel the mystery of why Mitt Romney was convinced he had won the 2012 presidential election, as a new report shows some skewed internal poll numbers, and explains Romney’s two trips to Pennsylvania.

But at the same time, the article from The New Republic’s Noam Scheiber shows inconsistencies with reports from November 5 and November 6 about the numbers that might have convinced Romney and his team that he had a good chance of beating President Obama in Ohio.

Obama’s resounding win is starting to take on more of a resemblance to Harry Truman’s “upset” in 1948, with Romney playing the role of Thomas Dewey.

Obama wound up with 332 electoral votes, taking every swing state except North Carolina. Somehow, the Romney campaign was seemingly convinced that he would win one of the final three swing states, or make a strong showing in Pennsylvania.

[snip]

The conclusion is that Romney, based on his internal polls, thought he had at least 267 out of the 270 electoral votes needed to win the election, and the election would be decided in four states: Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Nevada

I agree with the premise yhat fraud was probably the reason that Obama won re-election. That being said, what do Americans do to resolve this issue? If all we are going to do is talk about it, then we are wasting a lot of time thinking that we can change the situation for any election to come. Thus we become just another third world country run by thug dictators.

It obviously was crammed down our throats by the country club republicans

I don't recall a smoke filled backroom selection of Romney. He won a competitive primary. He is a flawed man who ran against a field of flawed candidates. Apparently his flaws least offended the majority of Republicans.

My advice to Republican candidates is to espouse a core set of American beliefs, be anti socialist, point out the socialism in Democrats, and defend past controversial acts if they fit your core beliefs. Don't run if you can't meet the above.

Can't you just imagine this was the scene with Obama and his Commie staff after stealing the election through voter fraud- while Conservatives blame Romney, argue, point fingers and try to figue out how to suck up to minorities the 'next time'?

What most refuse to acknowledge is that it was unlikely that ANYBODY could have beaten the voter fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama machine. They seem to prefer pointing fingers, blaming Romney and blathering on about who to run in 2016 and how to suck up to the minorities.

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America. That's what people fail to understand.

We must act NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we're no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

Col Allen West; "I don't want to see America become like Zimbabwe where people don’t trust their electoral process. If we cannot trust the integrity of the voting system then we are no longer a free republic".

Col West has opened the door.

We must fight election fraud.

It falls on ‘We the People’.

These elections are NOT certified yet. The only way to get this investigated, much less recounted or overturned, is through the Secretary of State of each of the five key states: Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN ANOTHER STATE you can help. But it won’t do any good to dilute our effort to challenge California or Michigan or other states. Until a major group gets involved to do more, here is the plan: Contact the Secretary of State of the state in question. See contact information below...

Here’s a news flash for the Republican party.

THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TO WIN!!!!

That’s how they make their money. They take it from the public treasury. When you HAVE to win, you’ll do what you have to do. Cheat on elections? Yep. Scare people into voting for you? Yep. Use stupid behavioral scientists to take advantage of people? Yep. Put spies and traitors among us? Yep. Threaten people? Yep. Would they even kill people? I think they killed their own President when he threatened the party....JFK, so, yep.
Quit playing with these jackass Democrats, because they’re not playing. They see us not as worthy opponents, but as the people who want to keep them and their families from the finer things in life that they think they deserve.

Does the GOP have even a tiny inkling of how many Conservatives did not vote for Romney because of the intentional exclusion of Sarah Palin and Ron Paul? This and the changing of the GOP Primary rules to inentionally exclude grassroots intiatives led many many voters to simply stay home.

Somebody better whisper in their collective ear because as it stands now, it is over for the GOP.

Just so you know, those 3 million fools are a myth. As they count more votes, it is down to about 800k fewer now. At the rate voters have been dropping out in the last decades, he did better than average on the drop in participation. So far, it is looking like those who did not turn out for Romney were those precious Moderate voters that he courted so much.

From my Wa. state Rep. This is why we lost.

Thank you for contacting me regarding the 2012 Presidential Election. It is an honor to represent the people of Eastern Washington and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me.

As a Representative, I view it as my duty to help move our country forward by addressing the many challenges we as a nation face. Our Constitution provides voters with a chance every four years to determine our nation’s President, and it is important that we maintain the validity of that solemn charge. I do not know of any fraud or abuse justifying a challenge to the validity of the 2012 election. Be assured that I have and will continue to uphold the Constitution and oppose any effort to circumvent our nation’s best interest.

I agree this election was marked by massive fraud !! Voter ID is necessary but will never be allowed by the Dem / Lib legislative/judicial system. And quite frankly another factor is that the conservative non-voters were just as stupid as the Obama voters and will will all pay for that for more than the next 4 years !

You must have missed the fact that the owner of this website actively encouraged NOT voting for Romney, AND had tons of support here.

Exactly. All spring it was preached on hundreds of threads and thousands of posts that Romney was an abortionist, homosexualist, liberal RINO father of Obamacare and gay marriage and if nominated would surely lose because no true conservative would vote for an abortionist, homosexualist, liberal RINO father of Obamacare and gay marriage.

Romney lost.

Now we're supposed to believe that Romney was truly America's choice only to be denied his rightful victory due to some powerful massive, untraceable Democrat voter fraud machine --a machine that neglected to capture the House or a 60 seat Senate majority?

If Romney actually won, maybe we should nominate more guys like Romney, right? Why mess with success?

How many times have we read about “bus loads” of voters being brought in to states and districts? I’ve lost count.

Why don’t Republicans put together the same level of ground game and “get-out-the-vote” tactics? There are never any challenges.

If you don’t understand the rules of the game, you’ll never win.

If I were Romney right now, I would hire a phalanx of the best private detectives in the country to investigate voter fraud — not to bring to court, just (for now) to bring out fully detailed accounts in book form, privately printed and promoted if even, say, Regnery wouldn’t touch it. ;-)

There is no evidence of vote fraud that would stand up in court, Yash. Therefore, there is no evidence.

And just how would you know that? That's just wishcasting on your part.

And it does relate to the candidate, Romney. If there were demonstrable evidence of vote fraud, the point man for that protest would.....Romney.

Assume you’re right for a moment. Where is the Golden Boy? (Hint: he’s STILL not fighting your cause.)

I find it sad that you can't get past the candidate to look at the evidences themselves. The GOP doesn't want it investigated because they don't want to look like "sore losers" or "spoil sports" and have the media bashing them. In other words, they are being the same old spineless GOP that we all know them to be. This shouldn't be surprising to you.

Nevertheless, who the GOP candidate was is ultimately irrelevant at this point - the evidences are all there, just waiting to be investigated...if anyone would have the backbone to actually do it. Shoot, Allen West raised a little cain in his race, and all kinds of evidence for fraud were unearthed. Just think what could happen if somebody actually got busy about investigating the 70,000+ "irregularities" nationwide.

But, since the GOP candidate was the guy you didn't like, we're just supposed to pretend like none of that exists. Of course. It was that sort of questionable approach to honesty that, along with the Benghazi stuff, led me to dump third partyism. What the third partyists kept repeating ad nauseum just didn't line up with what I was actually seeing about Romney. A lot of it was just hype, hokum, and half-truths. Third partyists seem to me to be little different from the Democrats - selectively picking out "truths" that they think work to their favour, while quietly burying those that don't.

If you don’t understand the rules of the game, you’ll never win.

If the rules of the game now include fraudulently trucking in voters who don't live in a district so that you can pack the vote with double (triple, quadruple, quintuple...) voters, then it's time to stop playing the game. It's time to burn the game down and start a new one where it's either impossible to defraud the vote, or else make most of those people involved in the defrauding to be not eligible to vote in the first place.

I am not one to say fraud by nature in elections, but with no ID required in many states and reports of 159% turnouts and 100% for Obama districts I am convinced the whole thing could have been a real stolen election.

Your above point is right on the money about the nature of the GOP and their candidate Romney. However, if there were demonstrable voter fraud, I think they'd be all over it with their lawyers and their available cash.

They aren't all over it....ergo.

Yash, you and I have been FRiends for too much of this most recent campaign for us not to agree on a whole lot more than we disagree on.

Let me affirm to that end that your integrity is of the highest caliber, your ideas are sound, and your decisions are made carefully and with much thought.

So, my FRiend, please don't think I'm trying to be rude to you or to question your integrity or honor when I disagree with one of your conclusions.

Faith, brother. We serve the same Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

OHIO REPUBLICAN DEMOCRAT OTHER PARTY TOTAL
Cong total votes 2,549,546 2,307,973 102,333 4,959,852
Pres total votes 2,593,779 2,697,260 88,051 5,379,090
overvote/undervote 44,233 389,287 -14,282 419,238

Just my guess, looks like the Democrats created about 350,000 to 389,000 Obama votes from thin air in Ohio.

yes, itz called massive voter fraud...why dont these egg-head elitest morons ever settle down and do a report on that???

I think the answer to that is they do NOT want to have to acknowledge that the system is COMPRISED in BOTH the ability to CAST a ballot and in the COUNTING of the ballots.
