He should’ve known he was being set-up for a fall. It’s amazing what a short skirt and low v-neck blouse can do to a man. The Russians have used this tactic for decades. The ‘honey trap’ to get classified information, or blackmail someone. I betcha Supreme Court Justice John Roberts was blackmailed for his decision on 0bamacare too..

Bill was successful in claiming that it was “all about sex” (and not about perjury and a general pattern of lying) and Obama has sent Petraeus to come out and do the same.
Obama dropped a dime on Petraeus because it was time: he had known about the affair since it happened, and was planning to do this if Petraeus ran for President, but since he didn’t, Obama held it for other uses.
I think Petraeus did have a genuine moment of regret about his earlier lies defending Obama’s non-actions in Benghazi, and Obama realized it was time to get Petraeus out of his position and discredit him. Now it seems like he and Petraeus have had a few heart to hearts and Bambi has probably offered Petraeus a little help in getting a Senate seat or some other thing that this very political man wants, so now Petraeus is going to go out and do the little soft-shoe “I’m just a silly middle-aged white man at ‘that age’ who got naughty but my wife is standing by me” routine, and it will make everything go away.
Captain Obvious also got this little sorta mea culpa conveniently leaked
by his “friend”. No doubt he has engaged a damage control consultant.

exactly. Some on TV commented ‘what happened to Petraeus was sad’.....didn’t “HAPPEN” to him; he brought it on himself.

I am still a bit confused, if this was just about sex, then what was the big deal?
