I think Petraeus did have a genuine moment of regret about his earlier lies defending Obama’s non-actions in Benghazi, and Obama realized it was time to get Petraeus out of his position and discredit him. Now it seems like he and Petraeus have had a few heart to hearts and Bambi has probably offered Petraeus a little help in getting a Senate seat or some other thing that this very political man wants, so now Petraeus is going to go out and do the little soft-shoe “I’m just a silly middle-aged white man at ‘that age’ who got naughty but my wife is standing by me” routine, and it will make everything go away.
