United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice will meet with senators on Capitol Hill Tuesday to answer questions about the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Libya. CBS News has learned her appearance will include a morning meeting with Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who has been among her biggest critics since her initial remarks on the attack.
Rice has come under fire from Republicans for her initial account of the attack five days after it took place, when she suggested that there was no evidence the incident was an act of terrorism. On CBS News' "Face the Nation," in one example, she said the "assessment at present" was that "based on the best information we have to date...it began spontaneously in Benhgazi as a reaction to what had transpired some hours earlier in Cairo, where of course as you know there was a violent protest outside our embassy sparked by this hateful video." She added that "extremist elements" then joined the effort.
The White House later said the assault was a preplanned terror attack, and some Republicans have suggested that they would block Rice's possible nomination to become Secretary of State for her role in what some say was a cover-up by the administration. Rice and her allies said she was merely repeating talking points given to her by the CIA and approved by the wider intelligence community. She said she "made clear that the information was preliminary, and that our investigations would give us the definitive answers."

Funny how McLame could hold up in a NVA POW camp, but folds at the drop of a hat with the dims.
Dumb meets with Dumber
Oh yeah, here we go...
After some “firm” questioning behind closed doors, all will be in front of the cameras, gooey and spewey and “working together to reach a consensus”.
Stand by to barf alert....
(yawn)
So McCain will emerge from his meeting with Rice and proclaim that he is satisfied with her explanation and blah blah blah...
Count on it. It’s all kabuki theater.
Are ALL these hearings behind closed doors?
Yours is the most accurate assesment of the ongoing political charade I've read on this thread.
You clearly "hit the nail on the head"
That woosh you just heard is Juan Mclame bending over for the libtards!
Since our side always caves in and runs up the flag of surrender in practically all cases, should one surmise the files, on our members, are as thick as the files on the other side? Who did not see this coming? SOP, and congress wonders why they are not trusted.
you are the 3td person on this thread to tell me what I think

What does “no release” mean? Are you locked up in the hospital still or again?
I have a piece of plywood with a lot of deep teethmarks in it that is my #10 pain souvenier.
And I thought that all of the Benghazi geeks and techs and operators were shipped to Ice Station Zebra.
true but they were interviewed
What or where is Ice Station Zebra?
Thankfully one forgets just how bad terrible pain can be...
