A new CNN poll shows that more Americans would blame Republicans if the country went off the fiscal cliff rather than President Obama.
45 percent of those polled by CNN said they would blame Republicans more; 34 percent said they would blame Obama.
But Republicans might have a political opportunity if they can convince Americans that President Obama is not working to cooperate with Republicans.
According to CNN, nearly half say Obama is not doing enough to cooperate with the Republicans, although seven in ten want him to compromise with the GOP.
Now you’re starting to get the picture.
There simply can be no Obama without the corrupt MSM - period.
The corrupt MSM controls the message and the Kardashian public scoops it up and acts/votes accordingly.
Unfortunately, the left is good at gobbling those up as well. Try talking politics as a conservative on a place like Reddit, Slashdot, etc. It's basically completely dominated by liberals and all conservative opinion is shouted down or down voted. The left is very organized in going about this and they drive all right of center opinion away from popular social media sites. At places like Digg there is basically no conservative opinions at all.
There are lots of conservative business people with deep pockets. We have got to get these folks to start buying up or creating media.
We need to change the media or we will continue to lose.
I agree. While we do have the new media, I think the situation is actually worse than ever. Conservatives are just constantly in a position where we have to fight a tide of opposition from most news outlets, most entertainment outlets, and most social media outlets. As soon as the next network is being sold off, Republican investors need to grab it up. Next time one of these big city papers is for sale, conservatives need to be there to buy it.
The Dems are to blame primarily... But the GOP's weak testicular fortitude is becoming nearly legendary.
"Just go on "unskewing" polls there Qbert. See where that gets ya."
I distinctly recall you endlessly harping away how the Tea Party wasn't going to do very well in the 2010 elections because of you're supposed "analysis"... How did that one work for you?
I have no problem with folks injecting a little reality into a situation if it is becoming an echo chamber- but there is a big difference between that, and simply piling on Republicans every time one sees a supposedly negative poll. I think you are in the latter camp.
And say for the sake of argument that this poll is right- do you have anything to contribute to try to help Republicans "turn it around"? Or do you just get giddy at rubbing salt in the wounds of all those "gullible" freepers?...
They will forget about blaming repubs for getting bit in the butt the first time as soon as Obamacare taxes bites them in the butt the second time.
This is what the Republicans are up against--the media always trying to leverage the situation to benefit the Democrats. Of course it doesn't help to have some Republicans offering a pre-emptive surrender to the other side.
And that’s why I get so upset at many here who blame: Mitt Romney, George Bush, or whomever or whatever.
Night after night and morning after morning, the broadcast TV “news” makers demonstrate their “journalism” is carefully managed and manipulated into tidy packages designed to provide the maximum political benefit to liberals and the maximum political damage to conservatives.
It doesn’t matter who the Republican is or what the issue of the day is. The corrupt MSM controls the message and until that corrupt collossus is torn assunder I see no hope for Republicans or for America. They have grown too powerful and have a hammerlock on the flow of information.
I don't know what you're talking about. Pretty much everyone, even folks like Nate Silver, thought the Republicans would take the House by winning more than 50+ seats. What I objected to were stupid predictions like Dick Morris' (who is virtually always wrong) who claimed the GOP might win 100 seats. Morris also predicted we'd win the Senate in 2010 when it was clear to most reasonable analysts that bad nominees like Christine O'Donnell would probably prevent that.
We have been nominating some real duds for statewide office - and the fact we couldn't retake the Senate under such favorable circumstances between 2010 and 2012 is proof of that.
And say for the sake of argument that this poll is right- do you have anything to contribute to try to help Republicans "turn it around"?
Yes, stop reacting and playing small ball. Talk about the underlying big issues. Make sure people identify the GOP with being against the social welfare nanny state because our economy will collapse if we keep this up. We are stuck in the weeds arguing on Democrat turf. That needs to stop. Talk about Greece, talk about California, talk about bankruptcy, default, etc. Do this at every press conference. Instead of talking about the macro, we end up yammering about the specifics of this and that program and it's getting us nowhere. We are playing by the oppositions rules.
Or do you just get giddy at rubbing salt in the wounds of all those "gullible" freepers?
Oh come on, stop being so offended. Believing polls could be "unskewed" was just so dumb it needs to be made fun of a little so folks on our side doesn't repeat the error.
Until the last election I would have agreed with you. What I have come to realize is that nothing is going to change these people's minds. Four years of Obama policies, high employment, high gas prices and a wretched economy had no effect. When a crash happens, when our money suddenly has no value, when EBT cards stop working and cities sink into anarchy, Obama and Liberalism will not be blamed. CAPITALISM WILL BE BLAMED.
....but of course they won’t fight. Sigh......
I’d like to see republicans open up a can of class warfare whoopass. They should relent on higher taxes on actual millionaires. They should demand an annual wealth tax on net worths in excess of $2 billion. They should disallow formation of trusts with funds that have not first been subjected to payment of unrealized capital gains and estate taxes. All in exchange for entitlement reform. Make democrats look bad protecting their constituents and billionaires that favor democrats.
What do you expect? Most Americans today are the products of 12 years of public indoctrination at the hands of union-controlled leftist morons. And, you expect them to think for themselves?? They have been programmed to thoink as only leftists "think"!
Republicans should first pass their own preferred plan in the House. The Senate dems and Obama, of course, will have done nothing but make speeches.
Having passed their plan, the Republicans should then insist that C-Span cameras be rolling at all subsequent negotiations.

Clearly a poll with an agenda. The GOP should ignore. If it’s true or if it’s false — they have nothing to lose either way. They need to explain why they do what the do on the chance they can reach some of the idiot public filled with propaganda by Communist schools and the Communist media.
Of course it doesn’t help to have some Republicans offering a pre-emptive surrender to the other side.
In most cases they do this to avoid being bashed in the media. If that were changed and they didn’t have to fear being blown to bits on every news station, they’d show more spine.
Not all of them. Not every time...but most of the time.
Think about it this way: You never, ever see a Democrat afraid to adopt the most lefist position on any issue, right? Are they made of sterner intestinal stuff? No...they just do not have to fear media scrutiny so they say whatever they want.
I agree with you. We worked hard to get our ducks in a row after 2008. The fall of America will hurt us a little in what vacations we take or when we will retire but I’d rather give up my nice vacations and other little luxeries (new TV or vehicle) and watch the stupid anti-american 51% suffer when the shtf hits the fan.
Warning, don’t come to us looking for a loan or any kind of help. I’m done with you
Good. What do they know? They are a bunch of idiots.
I’m ready, lets jump. My parachute is packed, in place and working. Would love to see my entitled relatives and friends go streaking pass me screaming “why and what happened and Obama, please save me” as I float ever so gently through the air enjoying the view on my way down.
course I’ll be well armed to protect myself when they try to grab on for dear life. I’ll just have to say “sorry, no dead weight allowed. Call the MSN for help.
