Tucker Carlson was on "Fox and Friends" this morning talking about the media coverage. He said the networks by a 16-1 ratio have been blaming the Republicans for the fiscal cliff. So naturally that is going to influence public opinion. He also commented on how NBC had almost no coverage of the fiscal cliff in the period before the election.

This is what the Republicans are up against--the media always trying to leverage the situation to benefit the Democrats. Of course it doesn't help to have some Republicans offering a pre-emptive surrender to the other side.

And that’s why I get so upset at many here who blame: Mitt Romney, George Bush, or whomever or whatever.

Night after night and morning after morning, the broadcast TV “news” makers demonstrate their “journalism” is carefully managed and manipulated into tidy packages designed to provide the maximum political benefit to liberals and the maximum political damage to conservatives.

It doesn’t matter who the Republican is or what the issue of the day is. The corrupt MSM controls the message and until that corrupt collossus is torn assunder I see no hope for Republicans or for America. They have grown too powerful and have a hammerlock on the flow of information.

In most cases they do this to avoid being bashed in the media. If that were changed and they didn’t have to fear being blown to bits on every news station, they’d show more spine.

Not all of them. Not every time...but most of the time.

Think about it this way: You never, ever see a Democrat afraid to adopt the most lefist position on any issue, right? Are they made of sterner intestinal stuff? No...they just do not have to fear media scrutiny so they say whatever they want.
