Posting this at the request of FReeper "basil"
I have a request to make of those of you who are praying folks.
We've had a horrible accident involving 6 or our grandchildren out at our ranch. They were all piled on the 4 wheeler (as they've done many times before), tooling around off road, and somehow, the thing flipped.
Thanks be to God no one was killed, and we actually only had one of them seriously injured. She was in surgery over 7 hours today. She suffered a severe compound fracture of her lower left leg l, and they had to put a steel rod in it, and worse than that, she suffered 6 broken spinal vertebrae. Her name is Avery and she is 10 years old.
Another granddaughter who is a freshman at Texas A & M suffered what was first thought to be a separated shoulder, but again, thanks be to God, it was only displaced and the doctors were able to pop it back into place. She'll be sore for a while--but she can handle that quite easily.
The rest of the kids suffered bruises and scrapes, and a few road burns, but we are so thankful that it wasn't a lot worse.

Add my prayers to all of those already posted, please. Prayers for everyone involved because accidents like this, even though injuries might be relatively minor, are nevertheless traumatic and it’s always the ‘what ifs’ that come when the shock wears off that gets ya. Prayers especially for Avery that she heals quickly and is as good as new.

Basil, I am very sorry the children were injured. My thoughts and prayers are with your family from this point forward.
This is terrible news.
Prayer has been said on behalf of your grandchildren and the whole family for physical strength to heal, and courage and grace to endure during the healing process.

Lord God, You know exactly how to heal Avery and Molly. We place them in the hands of the Great Physician and trust You to restore them to complete health. Thank You for Your loving care, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I haven’t had an update on Avery’s condition this morning—which I’m considering as a good sign.

I have said prayers and each time someone posted a good one, repeated it. I hope that this helps them both heal quickly and well, (before ObamaCare clicks in too).
TheSarce told me to take massive amounts of vitamin C before and after surgery and it helped a lot on the teeth implants. Even as a smoker, my dentist said I was a “textbook healing” case, he was amazed.
it can’t hurt and will help.

I know little Avery will be watched over by a loving God.
We haven’t yet had an update on her condition today, so I take that as a good sign that nothing has worsened.
