What's in your bug out bag? My eldest calls them Good bags, Get out of Dodge. My second daughter (see home page) calls it her apocalypse crate, a rubber maid container filled with all the stuff she'll need, and has it in her car. It has all her old army stuff that couldn't be returned. For example, gas masks, mre's etc.
Ours has the normal stuff, blankets, food, flashlights, water, clothes, fire, ammo, etc. It might be a good thread to have input, suggestions, what's good, what's frivolous.
I worked on my bug-out bag all day yesterday. Except it is an entire diesel truck: locked, loaded, and well-supplied. Yesterday did maintenance on fuel filters, generators, solar battery bank, etc. Regarding neighbors, in my case I act as aloof and unsociable as possible. No need for them.
I believe in packing the BOB for when I travel away from home.
Provides enough for 72 hours of calorie intake, water purification, shelter, first aid needs, dry clothes, navigation aids, survival knife, etc. Also enough extra ammo for what ever I was carrying concealed on that particular trip.
Not sure if serious, but WTH does it matter unless you also surrender your anonymity on the board as well? JEEZE!
Bugs, of course!
I have LEARNED a lot from my military kids. And with their help, we will survive these next four years. Gad, four more years of this crap. Makes me sick. They’re all on board to fight the commie bastards that are taking over our government.
I'm planning on having a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff.
I have several 72 hour disaster kits, water, ammo in brief cases, water in 5 gal jugs, toiletries, clothes packs, MREs, shotguns. I could get out in 5 minutes if I don’t wait for my wife.
My brother, bless his heart, travels 60 miles, one way for his job. We live in Wisconsin, he has a travel bob. You’re foolish if you think you can survive ‘because you’re smart’
We have routes scoped out, and a stash of supplies in our trunk and some extra bags at the ready. We also keep a close eye on the non-American news so when SHTF we will be out 48 hours before the sheep get the word.
30.5’ 5th wheel, 120 lbs. of propane on board, dual fuel everything (propane, electricity)80 gallons of potable water, 4 KW generator. Sitting behind a well-maintained F-350 7.3L Powerstroke that can burn vegetable oil if need be. Pantry stocked with as much canned and dried food as it can hold. Ammo for every pistol, rifle and shotgun I need stashed everywhere. All I need is a few minutes to hook up and someplace to go.

More important than that.. “IS”...
1) Where are you going to bug out “TO”?...
2) with what transportation?..
3) for how long?..
4) and what are you going to do when you get there?..
** else why leave?..
A rubber chicken!
Does the Russian phrase book detail the best Vodka?
Poor wife. I could leave my hubby in ten minutes. He thinks sometimes I’m a kook. He’ll love me if the shtf.
I call it my “go bag”. Always ready.
Yeah
I’m bugging in too.
I am near Chicago, no way I am staying here! No other choice but leave. I think unless you are 150 miles from an urban area, it’s best to plan to get out.
Rural. I have a well, generator, solar panels, a fully stocked and outfitted motorhome, enclosed cargo trailer, fishing and hunting gear, ATVs, boats, chainsaws, a fuel cache and a remote cabin.
