Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. will announce his resignation from Congress today in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner, Jackson's brother Jonathan Jackson said.

I hope he gets the help he needs. It is not fun being ill. Prayers to him and his family at this difficult time. Thanksgiving and he has to go through this. Just awful.

If Rep. Jackson quits, I hope that John Arrington will run, in the speical election. He’s a black conservative Republican, who was in the Harvey city council. He ran for the U.S. Senate, in 2010. About a week ago, I emailed John and asked him to run. I haven’t received a response.
In a few years he will be speaking at a democrat convention.
