(NATIONAL) -- It is called Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving and it is one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
But labor organizers are hoping this years Black Friday is very different for Walmart stores across the country.
Theyre planning a nationwide strike that day against the worlds largest retailer and they are using the Internet to organize n a viral manner.

I had already quit going to Walmart when I learned that the Walton family donated more than one million dollars to the Obammy campaign.
No, they gave multi-millions to super pacs for the waiver, which Walmart received.
Most WalMart money was given to Republicans. It was just one of the heirs who supported Obama.
Fire them all now ad replace them
Fire them all now and replace them
And let’s not forget the unions causing the terminal closing of Hostess foods (twinkies, et al)... teamsters agreed to new terms, baker’s union refused new terms, cuts, saying they’d rather see the company close (15000 jobs lost) than work under proposed wage/pension cuts. Unions are poison, they will destroy this country, with Obama’s blessings. “Workers of the world unite”, equals destruction of all country’s economies.

So they’re going to boycott stores that employ people who are most likely overwhelmingly Obama voters? A bunch of brain surgeons these leftists are.
Tempting as it might be, I won’t be going to Walmart in response. The greater good is served by remaining at Galt’s Gulch. I almost wonder if we’ll start seeing “boycotts” from the Left as head-fakes to try to get us spending again.
I never shop on Black Friday - rarely leave the house, too much mayhem. But this year I may run down to the local Wal-Mart and buy a box or two of ammo.
We have a WalMart in town but I don’t often shop there. I’ll make a point to shop at to WalMart on Friday!
I believe WalMart donated over twice as much to Romney but I haven’t fact checked that.
“The local Wal-mart is where the white trash take their kids to discipline them. I dont shop there.”
I don’t go there, either. White and Hispanic and black kids are running down the aisles and I would have to stand in line 30 minutes to check out and I can’t stand that long. Also, in winter, it’s a great place to catch the flu.
My Kroger doesn’t allow more than two standing in line to check out. They open another line if there is more than two. There are never any kids in there. I would say it’s the place for middle and older people and it’s a pleasure not to dodge kids and customers help each other and are nice to each other.
If what I need is not food, I go to Lowes which is very near Walmart. All these places are on one street near my house.
Could I get them to shift their boycott to our local Best Buy?
I’ve got my eye on a 40” HDTV that’s in limited supply for the Black Friday sales.
/sarc (I think?)
Wal-Mart & Target are also taking heat from people like me for opening on Thanksgiving...let the employees be with their families for gosh sake! I am definitely not into the whole Black Friday thing, I stay as far away as possible from any retail areas on the Friday, Sat, & Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Why don’t we just call its “Reds Friday”. Workers of the world strike, and lose the few remaining jobs left out there.
Brilliant!
I buy my bullets at Wal Mart
with the discounts, perhaps wal-mart would actually save money? I don't understand the economics of black friday -- perhaps its volumes that make up for the lower profits?
no one is going to be kept from Walmart on Black Friday.....
can you say Chic Filet....I had no intention of going, but I’m going now.....they stole my vote but they can’t stop me...
