I am heartbroken at what is happening to our country. This feels like it is becoming "flyover country's" Last Stand, and we need to fight back to preserve at least what is left of our freedoms and constitutional rights.

FAST-FORWARD to Jan 30, 2021: I only thought I understood "heartbroken" way back when...With accurate news so hard to come by, I have returned to FR, and am pleased to find it, as far as I can see, "unscathed" by the now raging war on conservatives, populists, Republicans and all other "freedom defenders". Free Republic is an oasis in a vast desert, formerly verdant lands now being devastated by tyranny.
