On his Wednesday radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh warned his listeners not to have high expectations for embattled former CIA Director David Petreaus testimony on the Sept. 11, 2012 terror attack in Benghazi. The attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, but, according to Limbaugh, if Petreaus says anything differently than what he had said right after the attack, he could be branded a liar.
If Petraeus goes in there and says anything different than what he said on Sept. 13, do you know the world of hurt that hes in? Limbaugh said. What did he say on Sept. 13 or whenever the testimony was he said it was the video. He said it was an out-of-control mob, spontaneous-combustion protest, because of the video. OK, now lets say that he goes into tomorrow and he, if he doesnt say exactly what he said to Congress back in September, then hes going to get the question: Were you lying then, or are you lying now?

Of course no one died from Monty Pythons humor though...”
Except for the parrot.
I agree with Rush.. I think we might be better off preparing and working on 2016.. this very minute.. We aren’t going to get anywhere with this guy..Thwart him at every move. Don’t work, don’t pass budgets. screw it...
We are more motivated to get out and vote, in the midterms, so I am hoping we could still keep the House.
But keep in mind, "NO ONE wins ALL the TIME".
Sooner or later Obozo and his henchmen will trip themselves up.
If you recall Watergate occurred, First, then Nixon won re-election, then the investigation revealed his role in leading the coverup and he resigned in disgrace
There's every possibility, if we have a reliable Investigation by the House and Senate, the same may occur to Obozo.
Like I said, it's impossible to WIN all of the time.
“Use the dammed thing !”
That’s another subject. Rush is talking about Washington insiders circling the wagon, and that there’ll be no big break in the story because there’ll be no Deep Throat. Reporters are only as good as their sources.
He can hammer it on the radio all he wand. He could even deduce the real story. But without a leak how will it be confirmed.
The CIA has issued a statement some time ago that they never said anything about a protest over a ‘video.’ But that makes no difference whatsoever. They saw the attack live, heard calls from people on the ground and new both the consulate and annex were under a concerted attack. Are you saying a rescue mission should hinge on who is attacking and why they are attacking? I hope you’re not a police dispatcher in your town.
I’m so sick of defeatism I could puke. And to “silence” I would also add “defeatism”.
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. DIETRICH BONHOEFFER

I am very far from a dispatcher, but thanks!
I think you believe that all this information is public source and given, but it’s not. This is just assembled from gobs of news articles.
Congress doesn’t do such news article assembly. They subpoena people and documents. Documents can be controlled by the Administration (Top Sekrete, heh), and it’s pretty obvious they can control people if you have the right dirt.
So no, it’s not “obvious” to anyone who views it from the light of a official panel of Congressman that it was anything more than a protest gone bad. They can only pronounce judgement on what official documentation they get.
If the news leaks are not adequate to power the proper discovery process, they will never see the proper documents, and you can sure bet Petraeus is not going to step out of line.
To use your example, the news leaks are the “dispatcher” and Congress is the police. Congress can’t visualize the entire episode just from the 911 call. There has to be more *real* evidence, which I can guarantee won’t be provided by Petraeus or the administration.
This is another dead end. I don’t like the Administration, but I will say this: they have political game that can’t be easily reckoned with.
And finally, now that Mr. Petraeus is a citizen, he is no longer entitled to access to the very documents that he produced during his personal discovery mission. The right leaks to the right lawmakers and they will be hounding him on every recollection error vs. the verbatim report.
It’s like Rush said: if you think something is going to come of this, you have your hopes set way too high.
And if I or Rush is wrong, then I will be pleasantly surprised and happy about it. I suspect the chance of that happening is less than hitting the PowerBall lottery.
Fact One:
1) Only the POTUS can authorize a CBA (cross border authority) command for a rescue mission in a foreign nation.
Plus Fact Two:
2) No rescue mission was attempted.
Equals Fact Three:
3) 0bama turned his back on 41 State Dept. and CIA employees refusing to issue a CBA command and went to bed so he could go to Las Vegas the next day.

Nice syllogism! So simple. So true. This is what he is scrambling to cover up.
Is that a syllogism? Thanks, maybe I will finally understand that word. lol
Fact. Four ob personally was involved in the cover up for 14 days.
All of which are connected of course. I would also say he is still trying to use the 'video' as a coverup given his angry tirade about Susan Rice today.

Rush is right. The first leak will be the video did it.
Are you just being obtuse for no reason? I have explained #1.
Let’s try again since you are evidently blinded by your own intellect.
A President must know that there is a problem, to trigger a action. This is where the admin is playing fast and loose, and the reason there will be no repercussions to the President.
Petraeus is discredited, now a proven liar and cheat, and he and Allen were probably the only 2 feds with clarity in the matter, who may have spoken out, if they weren’t facing court marshals over not keeping their man parts out of places they were not suppose to be.
Ie, any soul who can or would note the President’s actual knowledge and response are now either discredited or would never speak against the President in the first place.
The recordings of requests for help, etc. are all irrelevant if they can’t be proven to ever have been heard by the President when rescue would have been relevant. Sure some minions might go down, but the President will be legally as clean as a Preacher’s sheets.
You're either obtuse or uninformed.
0bama was notified immediately and automatically when the Benghazi consulate triggered the "Imminent Danger Notification System" alert. He did nothing.

0bama knew exactly what was happening because he watched and heard it all in real-time. They had real-time onsite video, secured e-mail and were speaking with personnel at both compounds over at least two lines of radio transmission and cell phones. There were two drones overhead. All of that was live-streaming to the entire DoD-DC network of sit-rooms around the world including the White House.
