Is this why CIA chief really resigned? Gun running to jihadists could dwarf 'Fast and Furious'...

JERUSALEM – The speculation surrounding the sudden resignation of CIA Chief General David Petraeus is focusing in large part on his role in an alleged cover-up of the attacks against the U.S. mission in Benghazi this past September.

Perhaps overlooked is the CIA’s role in purportedly using the Benghazi mission to coordinate U.S. aid to Syrian opposition groups and information those same insurgents include jihadists openly acting under the al-Qaida umbrella.

One week before he was slated to testify before Congress on the Benghazi debacle, Petraeus on Friday night announced his resignation, citing an extramarital affair, and it was reported he will no longer testify.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., the House Homeland Security Committee chairman, charged in an interview with CNN that Petraeus is “at the center of this, and there are answers that only he has.” King was referring to the Benghazi attacks.

Asked if he will still call for Petraeus testify despite his resignation, Rep. King replied, “Absolutely, to me, he’s an absolutely necessary witness.”

Patraeus resigned at a time when the U.S. intelligence community is facing criticism over both its response to the assault in Benghazi and whether it had early warnings of al-Qaida plans to attack the U.S. mission in that country.

The White House and multiple State Department officials had immediately blamed a crude film about the Islamic figure Mohammad for what they claimed were popular protests that preceded the attacks on the U.S. mission.

According to new, vivid accounts provided by the State Department and intelligence officials, no such popular demonstration took place the night of the attack. Instead, video footage from Benghazi reportedly shows an organized group of armed men attacking the compound, the officials said.

That Benghazi compound is repeatedly referred by the news media to as a “consulate.”

This is just another example of that.

At this point the Obama regime also needs to answer for the timing and reasoning for this resignation. Petraeus is being forced to resign, supposedly because the affair could be used as bribery material, but now that he’s come clean the ability to bribe is gone. Unless the resignation is what he was bribed to do, in which case it was the Obama regime itself that posed the threat.

Beyond that, why isn’t Obama forced to resign for the same reason, now that the Hawaii state registrar has legally confirmed that Obama’s HI birth certificate is not legally valid? This means that if he’s got a valid BC anywhere, it’s someplace else - which puts our supposed Commander-in-Chief at the mercy of whoever knows about that BC. The stakes are a million times higher when it is the man who now has tyrannical, unconstitutional powers who is vulnerable to bribery.

This needs to be brought out and dealt with.

“How much do the Israelis know about this?If they have the facts they could burn Obama and his cabal of bonesmokers to the ground.”

This is exactly what I said to my wife last night. Bibi and the Mossad have to know what really happened in Bengazi. I was extremely disappointed that they didn’t pin this on Bozo before the election. I really thought Bibi would have done every thing he could to get rid of him!!

Perfect opportunity to remind Petraeus this......

'It's better to die a hero than live a coward': Father of Navy SEAL who died in Benghazi raid launches blistering attack on Obama....

""BETTER TO DIE A HERO THAT LIVE A COWARD"......

Pay attention General. Many feel you are that type of man, you are soiled but redeemable. Regain you self respect, duty requires it, just do the right thing.

It sure ain't because of adultery.

High officials have engaged in it for decades (at least as far back as JFK) with full knowledge of the FBI and others who work to keep it hidden. H3ll, Clinton couldn't even get removed from office despite full disclosure and perjury!

This guy is being ousted/sacrificed and the adultery, while probably true, is just the cover story!!

It’s being claimed that Petraeus was told he had to resign. But the reasons make no sense. If Clinton’s impeachment for perjury and obstruction resulted in no resignation because they were just about - tee hee - consensual sex - then vulnerability to bribes (in order to hide an affair) has nothing to do with whether even the most powerful person in the world should resign from that powerful position, in order to protect the country. If Clinton was not forced to resign over his many affairs, then there is no way Petraeus should be forced to resign over his one. Especially since the threat of bribery could be removed just as easily by Petraeus coming clean publicly - moreso than with Clinton because Clinton had already committed crimes, and as long as there were potential criminal and civil lawsuits he was STILL vunlerable to bribery. Who could bribe Petraeus once he came clean publicly?

If what you’ve said is true, it would explain why the Obama regime is quick to say they are forcing Petraeus to resign - even though it stinks of an attempt to silence him from Congressional testimony regarding Benghazi.

I think Congress needs to probe how this resignation really happened and why, because it may reveal more about the Benghazi cover-up by this regime.

Yep. They don’t call DC what they call it for nothing. I wonder if the sluts mind the nickname of DC. But now I am reminded of Revelations and the Whore of Babylon.

Here’s an interestig little sideline to the Petraeus story from of all places the NYT! Hard to imagine.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/15/magazine/a-message-from-beyond.html

Seems the husband of Petraeus’s gal pal knew all along about her affair with the CIA chief or at least that’s how I read this stuff.
I got the link from PJM—New Media strikes again.....

SatinDoll has suggested that Petraeus voluntarily resigned using the affair as an excuse, after finding out that the Obama regime was involved in deep, deep treason in Libya and wanted him to cover for it. My post right before this one gives some reasons why that makes sense. If this is true, then Petraeus may have resigned to give the Benghazi cover-up legs.

The timing of it is another thing though. Why not resign before the election and have this blow up in Obama’s face? Maybe he knew the election would be stolen regardless of anything that happened? Maybe he was afraid the story would simply be buried until after the election anyway? Maybe he wanted to time this specifically to bring attention to the Benghazi hearings next week? Maybe he figured there was still a chance to stop Obama through impeachment and/or Congress finding out first-hand that Obama is a traitor - which could impact their willingness to certify the electoral votes given the electoral fraud?

I don’t know. But I think the country needs some no-BS answers from ALL these players. And Congress needs to disarm the threat of the Obama regime itself while we get those answers. They need to vote to impeach Obama, declare Obama and Biden both - as complicit in the Benghazi situation - unable to fulfill their Constitutional duties and thus recognize John Boehner as acting Commander in Chief. Oh, wait. I’m looking at the 25th Amendment. Looks like it is a majority of Obama’s cabinet members who would have to declare Obama unable to execute the duties of his office. Never mind. That will only happen when Hell freezes; the country is totally unprotected while trying a POTUS for treason. He will always have the “bargaining chip” of hitting the red button if anybody seriously considers finding him guilty... And it also looks like there is no mechanism for declaring the Vice-president incapable of executing the duties of POTUS. I wonder if that would fall to Congress then, as per Article II, Section 1, 6...

Hillary is stepping down, but she won't be available to testify, either. It interferes with her schedule, she says.

It looks like no one wants to go on record. They'll be expected to tell the truth. After Fast and Furious, the last thing they want to admit to is running guns to the enemies of the U.S in the middle east. Gun running to Mexican drug lords on our border was deadly enough. Now, gun running to Jihadists has killed 4 more.

No way did they want all this gun running by the Oboma administration to come out before the election. Now it doesn't matter. Oboma can be more "flexible" next time he wants to arm Americas enemies.

If it doesn’t affect the flow of benefits to the obamaphone crowd, the death of a few crackers isn’t of the slightest interest.

That is my takeaway from the last Tues.

Ok. I have read a little about this. Now I am more enlightened.
Maybe the GOP house will get to the bottom of it. Although, I am predicting
they won’t. Bonehead and Cantor are working on another Grand Bargain
with Obama. Can’t let a little gun running and few murders of Americans
interfere with that.

"Petraeus decided he’d testify on Benghazi truthfully, so he outed himself because he wanted OUT anyway."

One can only help he's monkey wrenching Bobo's plan to claim executive privilege. Doesn't extend to recently unemployed civilians.
