I'm not a huge supporter of boycotts, but I thought an effort to get the MSM news outlets to not be an extension of the Democrats was to hurt themin the pocketbook. If we generate a list of the advertisers during news programs on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC and/or CBS, then write two sets of letters:
1) letters to the advertisers announcing a complete boycott of all of their products and services, including cancellations of existing relationships BECAUSE OF MEDIA BIAS on the part of the networks.
2) letters to the networks announcing the same thing. If they continue being a mouthpiece for the democrats, their sponsers will not see a nickle of business from conservatives
Boycotts don’t work for one reason...I still need to brush my teeth.
You are going to find that every major brand of every major commodity advertises on every major network every day. There have been boycott promotional companies for years now and they have little effect because people still need to wash their clothes. They have had “outrage” of the week promotions so often that it’s hard to keep up.
The only way to be effective would put these boycott promotional companies out of business. They would have to compile the worst offenders in the media (1 to 10) and target only one or two companies at a time. The problem is that unless there is a daily outrage, no one will send in donations.
EXCELLENT idea. Years ago when FOX News came out, our cable didn’t carry it. After they lied to me for more than 2 years that “yes we’re getting it within 2 months” I finally CANCELLED them and went with some satelite dish cable. Then about 3 years AFTER that, our cable company finally GOT FOX NEWS! I took them back.
But when I first asked they said they didn’t have “room for FOX” and I told them to take CNN OFF my cable - they actually laughed at me. I was not amused. Dumped them.
Cable TV will probably go the way of buggy whips but not soon enough. Cell phone and online access is the way of the future, right?
I am for boycotting blue states. For instance, I refuse to order any wine from CA and I refuse to vacation in any blue state. Las Vegas??? Forget that!! I suggest if you are member or an association, you start looking for other places instead of Las Vegas, Chicago or New York. If your association has a convention in CA refuse to go and encourage others to do the same. Stop taking the crap from these people.
I just cancelled my cell service, and went with straight talk. Saving money on cell is key.
Hey, that’s the internet right?
Except for those of us who live in the sticks, where broadband isn't available.
That being said, I only keep DirecTV because I'm caring for and elderly parent, and we only get about 4 channels w.a roof-top antenna.
However, when they're gone, I'll be dumping DirecTV. I may add a KU-band FTA system to supplement the meager OTA, but that'll be it.
And since I get 99% of my news from FR, losing Fox News won't really bother me.
Not if you happen to live where broadband isn't available.
This is a very important post!!! We need an organization dedicated to this type of activism. As Democrat Pat Caddell recently said, the media MSM) have become the enemy of the American people.

I can save you the trouble. That would be all products. Good luck.
I have a non profit but I need donors. I could make the website for donors and such happen. Need partners for motivation. Pm me.
I suggest focusing on Comcast/NBC- obamas regime let them merge thus making a bigger conglomerate/monopoly and they were beholding to him..start with them write to their Investor Relations (stockholders wont like a drop in earnings)also and the CEO and let them know that they have just shot themselves in the head with their bias.
They can after the advertisers that cater to liberals and entitled people...those on unemployment EBT food stamps welfare etc dont have much to buy past basic necessities and Nike shoes...
put the hurt on one and the rest will be foxhole converts or perish..
on the other hand support those that advertise on Fox..look what happened to Carbonite over pulling Rush:

I plan to. Along with ALL cable news channels, including Fox News. I listened through all the crap for a year leading up to the election. I’m burned out. There’s no way I could listen to talking heads for a long long time.
I too am dropping comcast getting another provider installed monday then am calling comcast to cancell my account and plan on telling them it is because I am so disgusted with Chris Mathews and MSNBC
I could see dropping your Cable TV or even all TV. That’s possible.
To quit buying products from all the networks would mean pretty much eliminating every consumer product. Groceries and all that is in a Grocery Store, Clothing, Medical Supplies, Gasoline, Cars, etc...
Might as well move to Lancaster County and try to join the Amish....
Just not feasible.
This was the sentiment of a couple people. I think the solution is to target one network to start, and focus on the advertisements that take place during news related shows. We should try to focus on the companies that advertise during said shows. If we have any material affect on the sales of those companies/products/services, they will stop advertising during the news related shows. At some point, the network will have to make a decision - operated their news related shows with reduced revenue (at a loss) or change their liberal ways when covering the news.
Really?? So everything you buy is a pharmaceutical, an overly-salted fast food, a copy machine or from an international accountant or financial service? How many cars do you have for kids?
I am personally amazed when I see an ad for something I actually do buy!! Was pleasantly surprised once when I was actually USING a product as it was being advertised...Heineken! There are so few products/services with TV/radio ads, I find it quite easy to “boycott” advertisers, as our fantastic, freedom-based system allows for numerous competitors of comparable quality and cheaper price to choose from.
Maybe its time to change your diet to fresh foods and local or small market (generally healthier) producers, and away from the processed crap filled with whatever chemicals and salts they can concoct to make cardboard taste half as good as McDonalds.
I can think of several direct mail marketing companies that sell toothpaste.
Everything that you own is made by someone that at some time advertised somewhere that you wouldn’t approve. I’m glad you have toothpaste though.
