A winter storm battered the Northeast coast Thursday after cutting power to at least 115,000 homes and dumping record snowfalls in the New York City area.
The National Weather Service warned of wind gusts as high as 60 mph along the coast, minor to moderate flooding from storm surges, and more snow, particularly in New England, early Thursday.
More than 600,000 people were without electricity as a result of superstorm Sandy and the new storm.
NBCNewYork.com reported that more than 198,000 Long Island Power Authority customers, 55,000 Con Edison customers in New York City and Westchester County, 197,560 Jersey Central Power & Light customers, and 9,000 Atlantic City Electric customers had no power.

Yup, leftists want (us) to share the misery. But how many of them want to partake of the misery themselves? They’re “special”. It’s the hoi polloi who should share the misery, not Them.

Letem eat snow..... Keep in mind that the people most affected are middle-class homeowners who probably voted Republican. The people on welfare who voted for Obama have likely been relocated to a motel somewhere and are less likely to be affected.

The Cascadia fault line is 50 miles off the US coast and runs from Vancouver island down to northern California.
Skyscrapers built in Seattle before 1994 prior to more stringent building regulations would be liable to collapse and countless small coastal communities could be swept away due to flooding. Some 1,000 schools in Oregon are reportedly judged to have poor resistance to eruptions, but the refurbishment is not set to be completed until 2032.

A 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Canada's Pacific coastal province of British Columbia late Saturday, setting off a small tsunami ahead hit the province. It was centered 123 miles south-southwest of Prince Rupert at a depth of 6.2 miles.
Things are happening now in the area. I'll pray for all those who are worried.

No problem. Brand new fire department built about 4 feet higher than the old one. Police/city hall, built on concrete pillars, was just retro-fitted for quakes. Doubt it will work. Roads to both will be impassable if the big one hits.
