Romney Loss - Evangelicals "Again" Stayed Home
IFB ^ | 11/7/12

Posted on 11/07/2012 4:18:54 AM PST by The Ignorant Fisherman

Many of us could not imagine that Romney could lose this election, especially after four years of Obama’s radical Marxism and its social and fiscal consequences that America will NEVER recover from. All the hype and all the Romney rallies; it indeed looked like a sure victory for Romney except for one equation, the Evangelical vote. We here at the IFB have talked back and forth among ourselves since the RNC convention and with others also in the know; that if the Evangelical vote did not show up on Nov. 6th the jig would be up and Romney would lose big… and indeed he has.

Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way.

Remember, the GOP and Romney gave NO place to the Evangelical vote at the RNC convention. They outright snubbed us and that act rubbed Evangelicals the wrong way. The Evangelical vote consists of the TRUE social and moral conservatives of the party (i.e., the Right). Romney and the GOP also gave very little time to the Tea Party who is the heart of the grass root movement and the engine of the Party! The viewer ratings for the 2012 RNC convention were way down, some 40% and many of us- including myself - did not watch one lick of it. Why should we have? We knew what we were getting and many of us felt “diss’d” being left out as we were. That in its self should have set off warning bells to the RNC but in all honesty many of us who are Evangelicals were still going to vote for Romney holding our nose. It is our duty as Believers and an Americans to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and even though Romney was who he was; he was the better choice still and the lesser of the two evils for our nation. We were not going to trust in a Romney win but that a Romney win would slow down the final deterioration of our nation.

Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth and many have NOT forgotten it. Evangelicals felt betrayed and many did not vote for McCain in 2008 which gave Marxist Obama the victory. When you add the convention snub of Romney and the GOP that was the straw that broke the elephants back.

Many Evangelicals who voted for Bush in 2000 and in 2004 felt betrayed by his agreeing with and passing many of the Marxist policies of the progressive Left. To this day it still has left a bad taste in our mouth.

Now we come to today, the day after the election and we once more again see that the Evangelical vote has stayed home; and in doing so have given Obama another four years to finish the job of transforming our nation and fundamentally changing our culture and way of life which includes the elimination of sound biblical Christianity. I know I am going to get a ton of hate mail for this statement, but SHAME ON YOU for sitting home and not choosing to be light and exercising your God given right to vote (Matt. 5:13-16)! I know all sides of this argument and there is still absolutely NO excuse (Matt. 5:13-16). Your self righteous pride, biblical ignorance and foolishness has open wide the door now for Christian persecution in our nation and the end of the freedoms we have for the furtherance of the Gospel. My friends, indeed the Day of the Lord is at hand, but WOE to any who seek to bring it about who call on the Name of Jesus Christ by being idol and slothful. This is NOT a sanctification matter and God will hold you accountable for hiding your light and voice.

In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us.

In the end, this 2012 election has revealed without a shadow of a doubt that the Evangelical element has lost its salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16) and that America has absolutely no problem in FULL LIGHT re-electing a radical progressive secular Marxists to reign over us. I think of Samuel when all of Israel wanted a king and not the Lord (1 Sam. 8). It broke his heart and rightly so! He knew what was coming. Thus America in this election has said quite loudly that we DO NOT want the God given freedom to exercise what our Founding Fathers envisioned, which was based on the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. In doing so we have REJECTED the Judeo/ Christian values and ideals which once made this country great. We have now as a nation fully taken on the mantle of Lawlessness and the spirit of Anti Christ as our nation’s ideology and culture.

Indeed, we as Evangelicals will now see what we must surely endure under lawless administration of Barack H. Obama and many Evangelicasl will be sifted and found wanting. That there... you can take to the bank!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

But why do some CONSERVATIVEs on FR go all MEGO on us when SCRIPTURE is posted? Dismissing it with an imperial wave of the hand?

Good Q...and well-framed.

I know it's a rhetorical Q, but I'll add my thoughts.

I can't speak to specific motivations of any given FReeper; but generically I think people are relativistic & don't want the Bible as their applicable Guide in life.

To wave it off as authoritative to their life, they need to assume self-authority over it.

Quite possibly. And I have to admit that I think that choice is erroneous.

However, I can respect the person who just cannot bring themsleves to vote for Romney as a matter of principle, or even theology. I think that it did enable an Obama victory, but still it is a legitimate, principled choice.

But, to actually vote for Obama is a totally different matter. Only pig ignorance or evil intentions could justify such.

If you are an “evangelical” and voted for Obama, and really are a Christian, then I would suggest studying the Scriptures a little more closely, and add a good dose of prayer.

As for the Mormons, while I know about as much as I care to about their theology, I don't know enough to determine if a vote for Obama is consistent with it. Based on my observations of the few that I know personally, I tend to doubt it. But that's just an opinion.

Well, then, dumb nut! (isn't name-calling mean???) Although I agree 1000% with the statements which have made your head explode (just like a liberal's), I cannot take credit for them.

Please make certain you respond to the correct post next time. Also, search for help in making your posts easier to read and understand, and learn how to use italics, when you wish to quote another post, paragraphs, and even bold!

It's fun! And easy, too! if you have a brain.

I think you may have gotten caught up in the stormsurge of those posting here that are claiming that to NOT vote for ROMENY is the same as voting for Obama.
***Yes, he did. Sorry about that, Chesley.

Thanks for the ping.

Of course voting does, and should, take discernment. We can't always be right.

For instance, in the election just past, the office of probate judge was up for grabs. The incumbent was a long-time Democrat, who actually is a fine man and a good probate judge. The opponent, a Dem turned Republican, is also a fine man, as near as I can tell.

My wife wanted me to vote for the Dem, although she was voting R on every other position. Namely because he was getting involved in a terrible situation at her (state) place of employment, and was working to make things better.

I thought long and hard about the choice. In the end, I could not vote for the Democrat. They need to be turned out at every opportunity, IMO.

Is this the right choice? Should we vote the Party or the Man? What about the right man in the wrong party? I suspect that it often depends of the circumstances and the times. In these times my thinking is to leave them no base of power.

But it was a tough choice.

So, here you are calling conservatives mean names, trolling, and now nitpicking about italics & bolding. I guess you weren’t here on FR when we had to deal with people leaving their italics on, and for several posts afterward everyone else’s stuff was in italics. Fun! Easy! Yeah, right. When there’s an italics lock key on my keyboard I’ll use it. Or even when I can simply copy & paste from MSWord and have it survive. So are you done trolling? Are you done banging on conservatives on this conservative website? Maybe you’d have more fun going to unicorn.com and banging on people who believe in unicorns. You know what that is called? TROLLING.

Does that make me a heathen if I rage against it?

Yes, but you would be a heathen in their eyes anyway. That is how they view non-LDS.

Really? He knew my friends? Next you’ll be telling me that no Catholic uses a condom because their religion rejects using birth control.

I know what the Mormon church teaches. I also knew my friends. Please don’t let your rabid hatred control you. You are discussing something you have no knowledge of.

I’m not surprised by the election because I’m surrounded by liberals. They love obama & are thrilled by his re-election. Now I can stop arguing with them & have a calm Thanksgiving.

after the 2008 elections we were called bigots etc and told if we had voted fort Willard the Mormon and he had won the nomination for the GOP, he would have beaten Obama...

all we had needed to beat Obama was to have had Willard as our candidate..

It was all our fault...

OK lets look at what we know now...

2008 McCain beat Willard but couldnt beat Obama who was very popular and riding high...

2012 Willard bought himself the nomination but couldnt beat a much weakened and very unpopular Obama ...a shoo in for just about any Republican..

We HAD Willard for our candidate BUT HE DIDNT WIN...

End of story...

Inmans vindicated..

While I may not know your friends, I DO know (from personal experience and years of being in ministry to them) as do other exmo’s here know how the LDS treat gentiles (all non mormons) and what they say to their faces IS NOT what they really think about them or what they say to each other about the gentiles (you).

Mormons put on this nice face, friendly, pleasant, etc to outsiders (even close friends) ONLY because it makes the LDS church ‘look good’ and makes them more likely to ‘investigate’ (consider converting) the LDS church. Their goal in being nice is ONLY to convert you to Mormonism, and even if you say you will never do it, they don’t give up hope.

What they say to themselves and each other about non-Mormons, especially those ‘stupid Evangelicals’ is that they feel sorry for you, how stupid you are, how they are right and you are wrong and how you would be happier if you just converted to ‘the one true church’. If you are nice about your ‘witness’ to them, they see you as weak and not really believing your faith and see you as MORE of a target.

They constantly (to each other) bash Christians and Christian doctrine and consider them stupid and morally lazy.

I’ve pinged some other ex-mormons who will tell you they saw Christians the same way when they were LDS.

In short, your Mormon friends are lying to you in hopes of making the LDS church look good and getting you to convert.

Actually, I don’t think obama was ever unpopular. I continually encounter people who support him. Plus, I read comments on Facebook from relatives who like him. Most people wanted him, & that’s why he’s president.

Breakaway Salt Lake sect mornons are just as controlled as the FLDS folks you see on TV, only in a different costume.

They are not allowed to have facial hair, they are told how to dress, how to act, what to do every single night of the week, etc. They are told to seek out and devour people like you.

There are two concepts you must keep in mind when dealing with members of this cult:

1. Think 'Stepford Wives', like in the movie. Completely brainwashed anc controlled....Putting forth a deceptive image for the cult to help recruit.

2. AMWAY....Most multi-level marketing campaigns start and are run out of Utah, and for a good reason, they are all based on the same organizational method as the cult. They are on your porch because they want you in their "downline" either as productive recruiters yourselves or as their eternal slaves.

I am a saved LDS Sect "high Priest", same as Romney.

A lot of people think Obama’s doing a great job, & it’s all Bush’s fault. Plus, they believe everything the media says.

My local paper endorsed obama.

Young people relate to obama. They’ve been brainwashed by the media & Hollywood.

My nephew & wife in LA think they’re going to get obamacare for free. They all want the Freebies, & they think obama is handing them out.

Obama was goin to win against any Republican.
