And please urge your friends to do the same. We have to send a message and winning the popular vote by as much as possible is a big part of it.

I worked last night, got off at 7 am. It generally takes me about 30 min to get home. We drove past one polling place on the way home and there was a huge crowd there. I had my car pool drop me off at my polling station because there was no parking to be found. It was a much bigger crowd than 2010. Alabama is deep Red and I believe we will be contributing heavily to Romney’s popular vote.

I'm all ready to head to the polls first thing tomorrow! My neighbor is an Obama voter, but he's a nice guy and is giving me a ride.

Every vote counts & sends a message.
Please VOTE even if your state is not a swing state.

My daughter got up early and tried to vote this morning after waiting in line for 30 minutes and she finally makes it up to the table to verify her I.D. and of course they could not find her.Check via the Internet.
I wanted to read the full amendments before I went to the polls and Googled "Sample ballot Gwinnett County Georgia" and it sent me to a page at the Georgia Sec. of State where I typed in my First Initial, Last Name, County and date of birth.
It verified I was currently registered and gave me my polling place and then gave me the sample ballot.

A write-in vote for a candidate who has no chance of winning is just a gesture of protest at best, and pretty darn stupid if it helps elect another candidate committed to destroying your freedoms.
but keep feeling all smug and superior.

Nothing I have said in regard to my vote, EVER, was to imply that I felt smug and/or superior.
How is a write-in vote for a candidate with no chance of winning different from a non-write-in vote for a candidate who has no chance of winning or losing an individual state? In my case, I am in Illinois. My vote will not give Romney a single elector. If I could vote a thousand times, it would not give Romney a single elector.
If it is a matter of margins, then that too is a gesture of sorts.

In Washington, a very blue state. But live in a very red area on the eastern side. All ballots here are mail-in. Hubby and I voted straight Republican ticket. Senate will probably be Dem (Cantwell). Gov race looks to be a toss up. Also voted NO on gay marriage, but I suspect it will pass. Im sorry, but I dont give a crap what the law says, a true real marriage is between one man and one woman.
Well put and hello from Camano Island FRiend!

winning the popular vote No such thing as a national popular vote since we are a Republic not a democracy.
Tabulating the aggregate vote is simply an exercise in addition. Too bad that most Americans don't understand that.

Dude, I fully understand that. I was referring to the optics and the fodder the Left would have going forward if Romney won the EV but Obama won the PV.
