Seminole County—voted this morning. Waited, so we weren’t “first thing there” but still very early. Long line in the rain, quiet and friendly. Took about 40 minutes.
Liked our other previous voting places better, more room indoors. This one (at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church) was tiny and very cramped.
Merritt Island. Voted at 8:30 this morning. Took granddaughter, now 18. She’s a Republican wench. Only Romney signs at entrance to voting place. No Obama signs. No lines, no waiting. We zipped right on through.
You're an official poll watcher? Because you should probably be aware that wearing any clothing that supports any of the candidates is a violation and is considered an advertisement for the person.
Were people wearing obama shirts or hats?
I hope it's a good omen.
NO GUNS OR NIGHTSTICKS?.......

Lots of extra tables set up as makeshift voting booths for filling out optical scan ballots.
Noticed some stray marks on my ballots, brought them to the poll attendant's attention. She assured me that the scanner would reject the ballot if the stray marks cause a problem. No problems.
Raining off and on and gray in Jax / NE FL today.
We early voted Thurs with big turnout but smooth fast lines. As always, I was asked for ID and said I was glad to have to show it. I also took in my (unused) mail-in ballot, which was ripped (”spoiled”) in front of me and was to be deposited with others.
We’re outside of Orlando. Hubby and I got there a couple minutes after 7. There was already a long line; probably 100 people in front of us. Waited 2 hours. No problems with voting.
PLEASE heed this advice!! If we don't know the political breakdown of the town, reports of long lines are pointless and uniformative.
Liberal Palm Beach County reporting:
I arrived at 7:30; there were approximately 50 people ahead of me and it took 50 minutes to complete the process. A well-spoken businessman behind me was asked if he is a Romney fan and he very disgustedly said “NO”! But that is to be expected around here.
The last time I rememeber the line being equally long was when Bush won in 2004, and not as long in 2008 (if that means anything, lol).
May the heros of Benghazi be proud of how we vote today.
They gave their lives for us, now we need to give our votes for them.
Vote as if the lives of our Military Men and Women depended on it.
As long as they are here to vote they can wear candidate .. But they must leave the polling place after voting.
Polk County Precinct 415. Got there just before the polls opened, and in 30 minutes I was done. Voted for all Repubs (I firmly believe to kill a weed you must cut it off at the root) and against all three Supreme Court justices. My biggest thrill was driving to and from the polling location in my new Ford C-MAX hybrid. Bet a LOT of people thought they knew who I was voting for... WRONG!
Just talked with a co-worker and he said it took him over an hour to vote. He said he got there at 7 and was finished voting after 8. My guess, is a lot of working people wanted to vote before going to work.
We’re waiting ‘til this afternoon.
2008 we walked right in and voted with about 5 other people when the polls opened at 7AM
This morning we stood in a line before the polls opened.
When we got in the line, there were 113 people.
When we got done voting the line was the same length as when we went in.
But there was a line of cars waiting for a place to park as the lot was full.
Typical RAT trick.
Read the book (#1 New York Slimes Best Seller)
RAT RULES FOR VOTING (Unabridged Edition)
"There are no rules"
That’s craziness! This isn’t a primary election, it’s the general election. You need to notify your pubbie rep about it.
It felt good to vote against Obama and Joe but felt even better to vote against our local Comissioner and Sheriff both dems.
I did not know that. I plan to wear my hat that says “FOUR YEARS AND OUT!” hat when I vote later today in Orlando.
