The excremental liberal press is boycotting coverage of this to protect Obama but Fox is covering it. Staten Island has received zero help after four days. Bloomberg has stolen three huge generators to power marathon tents and given no help to the people of Staten Island. The entire borough is a ruined disaster. No food, no water, no gasoline, the homeless wandering across the island with no shoes, no socks, injured, starving, crying for help from camera crews. People fighting one another over dumpster garbage. Death toll rising.
Another Liberal success story.
I wish there were some people with boats (and gas) to start moving them out of there before they die.
This is terrible.
Claptrap. The generators were reserved for the marathon in advance and the rental fees paid by the New York Road Runners association, which organizes the marathon.
If that group wished to donate the generators for another use, that would be extremely generous of them, but the idea that failing to give others something you have paid for is "stealing" is Barack Obama thinking.
Articles said the generators were powering the media setup for the marathon. It would be funny if the organizers contributed the generators to relief efforts and let the media go without power!
Many of you who follow my post have seen me use this quote to describe what can happen in a grid down SHTF situation:
“Let me tell you something about humans, nephew: They’re a wonderful, friendly people - as long as their bellies are full and their holosuites are working.” “But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those friendly, intelligent, wonderful people...will become as nasty and as violent as the most blood-thirsty Klingon.” Quark from: The Siege of AR-558 (#7.8)” (1998)
I have even gotten complaints I use it to much and that using a quote from a SciFi/Fantasy TV Program lessens the seriousness of the subject of preparedness.
Well read this quote from the AP story- Exasperation builds on Day 3 in storm-stricken NYC:”You can clearly tell at the office, or even walking down the street, who has power and who doesn’t,” said Jordan Spiro, who lives in the blackout zone. “New Yorkers may not be known as the friendliest bunch, but take away their ability to shower and communicate and you’ll see how disgruntled they can get.”
Sound familiar?
Having been through a couple of hurricanes, I can tell you the first question FEMA and the Red Cross ask is: Do you have insurance? If you answer yes, they look up at the line you have been standing if for the last hour, and say:”Next!”
Do you think there was any way this tidal surge could have been predicted in time for people to get out?
Living on the coast, which I did for a lot of my life—(TX)—we were more or less used to hurricanes and such, and could prepare for them. Then again, we usually had several days’ notice.
The way I understand it—and correct me if I am wrong—nobody predicated this tidal wave that ended up hitting NY............
Has this ever before happened that you know of?
You mean the MSM fabricated news stories to paint a republican president in a bad light?
Of course none of it is happening, a democrat is president and the world is perfect.
Is S.I. shut down? If one has a truck (and gas) can one get in and out?
A friend who is deployed has elderly parents there. I proposed to him that I go and get them. Its a few hours away
Problem is that you have to go through Jersey or Brooklyn, both of which are a mess.
They could at least air drop food and water for these people for now.
Obama in Ohio pimping his hurricane “efforts” now. A-hole
Why not Staten Island???
Helicopter drops of food, medicine, etal in some designated areas where a volunteer ground crew distributes the supplies in an orderly fashion.
What's so complicated about that? It should have been started already.
This is ridiculous.....and frightening.
Welcome to Obama's Futureland now in effect in New York.....and then coming soon to a neighborhood near you.
Leni
He's busy crapping barbed wire and pissing broken glass trying to save jug ears from his Libya screw up.
all we need now is :
1) people crapping where they are sleeping
2) people walking past and ignoring dead bodies
3) Mayor Bloomberg to declare it a “Chocolate City”
and we will have Katrina II
Fighting for food....that cannot be. I heard MSNBC making fun of Romney for providing cans of food and water. They said they were not needed and Romney was a fool. You get what you vote for people.
Yes.
So where is Geraldo Rivera with his fake outrage? Where is Shep Smith, shrieking and wailing, with his eye makeup running down his cheeks? Why aren't they broadcasting from the area and denouncing Obama's failure to help?
wait... Mayor Bloomberg should announce it will be “A Vanilla City”
That would set libtards heads on fire
Huh? There was an evacuation order issued for Staten Island before the storm arrived. Apparently some people were too foolish to heed it.
http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=44065
which is a buoy ten miles out at the entrance to the NYC harbor area, and showed 32' (thirty-two foot) waves as the hurricane was coming ashore that evening. (Now it shows the usual 5' range.)
Maybe if they'd spent less time watching the Kardashians and more time watching the Discovery channel, they'd realized what a 'storm surge' was.
BTW- Howdy basil!
