You've heard about Mitt Romney's problems with the women's vote, the black vote, the Hispanic vote, the union vote and the young Democrats vote. But there's one major voting group that's fallen off the map since the primaries.
The evangelical vote.
When Mitt Romney's 2012 candidacy was gaining traction in the primaries, the conventional wisdom instantly conveyed that the evangelical vote, skeptical of Mormonism, would sink him.
What if in Ohio next week the opposite is true? There and in other swing states—Wisconsin, Iowa, North Carolina, Florida—the evangelical vote is flying beneath the media's radar. It's a lot of voters not to notice. In the 2008 presidential vote, they were 30% of the vote in Ohio, 31% in Iowa and 26% in Wisconsin.

Mr. Reed notes that in several opinion polls—NBC, Pew and ABC—the percentage of evangelicals claiming to support Mr. Romney has been in the mid-70s. "We estimate that in 2008 there were 350,000 evangelicals who didn't vote in Ohio," Mr. Reed says. "Obama carried the state by 260,000." If that support of 70% or more holds for Mr. Romney in Ohio, and if the share of the evangelical vote increases by a point or two, then the challenger could carry the Buckeye State.

Polling done after the election made it crystal clear that Governor Palin was the asset that pulled republicans to the voting booth, McCain was a drag on the ticket.
Obama bought the election in 2008. He ran non stop ads here in NC, 30 minute long telecasts after major sporting events, and McCain had no counter on the airwaves. Obama is trying to buy the election again. He’s still outspending Romney 2 to 1 here in NC. I just hope that’s not the case in OH. Obama seems to have an endless war chest and he’s determined to win by hook or crook

Keep this in mind. As liberal as the Corrupt Media is, so are the polling arms of that media. They are overpolling Ds sometimes by 8 and 9 points - of course that’s going to look better for obaMAO. The ONLY narrative they have is to maintain this crock. Romney will win by 3 to 5 points. Here’s a good article by Karl Rove discussing this:

McCain would have lost by an even bigger margin without her.
The dirty secret is that the evangelical vote is the least represented in both polls and at the polls. A lower percentage votes than other interest groups but the Heritage Foundation has been working on them for the past two years and some of them may come out this time.
The Southern Baptists I grew up with always liked and admired the Mormons they knew.
They were much more weary of Catholics, in fact.
After reading Citizen’s post, it made me even less likely to vote for Romney. It’s all lies.
(No, I am not going to vote for Obama.)
As to evangelicals refusing to vote for Romney, a Mormon, that "they'd vote for the Muslim first" (which is pure crapola) wouldn't hold water, especially after a full page ad was run on behalf of Billy Graham telling believers to vote their faith.
Dr. Richard Land and other faith leaders are either endorsing or encouraging the "silent majority" to carefully consider the candidates that openly stand against all that we are taught in the scriptures, i.e. pro-life, pro-biblical marriage, and against accepting homosexuality as the norm for society.
I pray that Catholic leaders are telling their flock the same, as nothing that Obama stands for is embraced by the Holy Scriptures - and he's proud of it! He is already punishing Catholic institutions (along with Protestant institutions but only Catholic institutions seem to have garnered news stories) by forcing all the faithful to cover not only birth control but RU486 (formerly known as the abortion pill), as well as other abortifacients, which goes against the First Amendment as well as our consciences.
Well, Pining, it is a free country. You may do as you will. But I would hope that you would make better use of your vote than to not vote for Romney. Also, it might be useful for the many Mormons out there to see that Christians can distinguish one issue from another and properly deal with each.
You are not voting for Gordon B. Hinckley, the former cult leader - as you said, accurately. You are voting for either Romney or Obama, anyone else is a wasted vote, and a no vote is half a vote for Obama, the most anti-constitutional person ever to hold our highest office. Obama must be voted out ... soundly.

Nonetheless, there are 4 R/R votes here, including two 18 year olds who are voting in their first Presidential election ever
The evangelicals that we have spoken to are casting their vote on election day. My husband got six different voters via phone on Saturday night that were Evangelicals. (I was door knocking and missed the Ohio phone marathon) As of Saturday, there are 24 hour prayer vigils that are ongoing. The intensity of determination to vote and volunteer that has been building since the 1st of September. We worked the Reagan campaign in Ohio, this campaign seems to have more urgency than that one.
