Washington (CNN) – After near-universal bad reviews of his first presidential debate with Mitt Romney, President Barack Obama will bring more energy and passion to his second showdown with the GOP nominee, advisers to the president said Sunday.
Yet the come-out-swinging attitude many Democrats crave could be hindered by the debate's town hall format, which requires a likability factor not completely compatible with aggressive attacks.

Can anyone explain to me why in the Biden/ Romney debate, all the screen shots had Ryan looking to the right of the screen, away from Biden? However, whenever there was a shot of all three, Ryan was consistently looking at either Biden or the moderater, who were both sitting towards the left of the screen.
It’s almost like they flipped the picture to make it look like Ryan would not look anyone in the eye.
His advisers did tell him that “come out swinging” is metaphorical, right?

imho, yes, Mr. Obama will come out swinging BUT with the same devious smile he uses to disarm those who fall prey to his manipulative ways. He knows he cannot appear nasty ...he may ‘turn off’ some people. I suspect he’ll claim Romney lies and push Romney to give specifics but he’ll also use some ‘humorous quips’ and try to appear ‘charming’ and reasonable. Hopefully, Mr. Romney is very well prepared.
