Vice President Joe Biden's repeated laughter during Thursday's debate was a reflection of the "enormous amount of passion and joy" he brings to the job of serving the American people, White House press secretary Jay Carney said on Friday.
Biden has drawn criticism for cracking up when Paul Ryan was talking about everything from Medicare to tax cuts to Iran's quest for a nuclear weapon.
"The person I saw up there last night is somebody who is absolutely passionate about fighting for and defending the middle class... and who comes to his job -- this many years in to serving his country in the Senate and now to the White House -- with an enormous amount of passion and joy," Carney said.

Passion, joy, demonic possession, whatever it was, it didn’t play well around here. At work it is normally non-political, but today, oh my gosh, people where ticked about Biden’s debate behavior. First thing this morning, several people were ventilating loudly about it. That’s unusual.
And Carney’s duplicitous prevarications are signs of his honesty!

Laughing and carrying on in the face of of millions of unemployed and underemployed Americans struggling to care for their families, an economy in shambles and an unsustainable debt load, a brazen attack and brutal murder of government officials, a group of madmen making progress in developing a nuclear weapon.......

There was no joy.
Insecure Joe Blowhard was seething with anger as he spoke at times. It was absolutely scary.
And these people are embracing this type of behavior?...
And the way he ridiculed Ryan “And now you’re Jack Kennedy?” was really over the top. So disrespectful of the opponent and of the debate process. It was childish. Like an insecure bully on the playground.
At least Romney/Ryan are gentlemen and give respect (where respect isn’t even actually due).
