A customer at a New Jersey McDonald's wasn't too pleased when he saw FOX News playing on the store's television, reports Zak Koeske at the FairLawn-SaddleBrook Patch.
Craig Lechner was at the McDonald's with his 3-year-old daughter to get her a Happy Meal, and when he asked the owner, Sebastian Lentini, to change the channel, he was quickly rebuffed, according to Koeske.

Try as you might, they will find out anyway. I’d rather they find out early than later..........
I’ve asked for them to switch from CNN. They chose not to. End of story.
GO THE F*** TO ANOTHER EATERY AND SHUT THE F*** UP, LIBTARD!
There’s an app for that.........
That’s like a parent complaining about people using profanity in front of 2 and 3 year-old kids. What 2 or 3 year-old knows what any of those words mean? If kids that young have that kind of vocabulary then something is really wrong in those kids’ homes. %$@&#!

Customer sounds like a bullying jackass. “I’m going to put this up on Huffington Post.” Too bad too, because he might have had a point about a news program being shown at McDonald’s. I could see where there would be times where it’s inappropriate, but I can also see times where it’s perfect. Like in the morning when the place is packed with senior citizens hanging out reading the free newspapers.
He’s even worse than a generic liberal, because he belongs to “the cult of nice”, that tries to prevent children from experiencing anything bad, unpleasant, or challenging.
Instead raising them in pastel colors, soothing generic music and no loud noises or sharp edges.
In effect it is psychologically as bad, as a form of child abuse, as was the binding of girls’ feet in Imperial China.
In either case, it is crippling to the child.
The result of such an ‘upbringing’ is that children become obsessed with morbidity, horror, the grotesque, and inhuman brutality, *not* because they want these things, but because they crave the truth, not the “lies by omission” their parents and ‘cult of nice teachers’ taught them.
What is it that is so horrible that I would be denied knowledge of it?
The true unknown, that has no parameters, is far more terrifying than anything that is known. It is the stuff of nightmares. It has no rules, it is shadowy and amorphous. You cannot avoid it, because you do not know what it is.
Does it just kill you and eat you, or does it steal your mind and your soul?
It about drives their kids nuts.
True.
A lot to be said for presentation though.
When your three year old asks where do babies come from, do you show them Debbie Does Dallas?
Obama’s post-partisan, post-racial presidency sure brought this country together, didn’t it?
I was thinking the same thing. 3 years old? What she sees on a news program is no worse than she might hear hanging out at the park and it probably would have as much of an impact on her, i.e. none. He just wanted to be a jackass and turned on his cell phone camera. I'm glad the owner didn't engage him.
Haha. Tell that Bergen County leftist to take his kids for dinner to Newark International or LaGuardia Airports where they only play CNN 24 hours per day, torturing every already tortured business traveler.
McDonalds is about to put TV’s running their own channel in every location.
I can see both sides of the situation also. But I think the customer would not have said a word if it had been MSNBC showing the same story “Can’t wait to post this video on Huffington Post”.
When my kids were little, I would set them down and we’d watch ‘Cops’.
I would tell them that there are actually people in this world like these bad people on ‘Cops’. I would be careful not to stereotype different races and cultures, but I didn’t sugarcoat things either.
Little children need a balance between Veggie Tales, Disney movies and all that sweet innocent stuff and the harsh realities of an evil world. My kids are all grown now, and they have a healthy outlook on the goodness (and badness) of this world.
I’m glad my parents didn’t spend their lives protecting me from reality.
It made later life a lot easier to deal with.
I could have grown up sheltered like my liberal cousins. One is a lesbian. Another isn’t satisfied with being a lesbian so she’s trying to convince the world that “androgynous” people like her are an oppressed class. I could be the unionista marxist indoctrinated cousin. I could have been he cousin who hasn’t had any homosexual experiences but thinks he might actually be gay because “all normal boys have those thoughts.”
What the owner shoulda said: Hey limp wrist. There's another McDonalds 2 miles up the road, and another 2 miles beyond that, and another 2 miles beyond that. Go till you find one you like better than this one.
That guy sounds like a bitch with his style of complaining and lithp. He better man up, or his kids may be hanging around with “Jack Robinson” (Slap Shot reference) when they grow up.
Yep. Better off without TV if you have kids
