A prominent Ivy-League professor denounced Columbus Day and mocked those who celebrate it by releasing a list of individuals he deems are the 15 most overrated white people on Monday.
Marc Lamont Hill, Associate Professor of English Education at Columbia University, wrote that the holiday is one of Americas most bizarre cultural rituals and that he finds it perplexing people continue to praise the vicious conquistador as a hero.
To honor the true spirit of Columbus Day, I have created my own list of overrated white people, he wrote in his article published on the Huffington Post.
The list includes Elvis Presley, Ronald Reagan, Babe Ruth, William Shakespeare, Tim Tebow, among others.
Elvis didn't write his own songs (despite taking credit for them), barely played the guitar, and was a worse actor than the entire cast of Belly, wrote Hill.

“Whoever brings up race first is the racist.”
Yes... we must apply the “fart rule”.

Muhammad was white? Since when? I would call him an Arab, and in the 7th century I don’t know if any of them could be called “white”.
I don’t know if he’s paid, but he is on. But only to discuss issues relating to blacks. Apparently this professor’s opinions are not too reliable on any topic not called “race.” I guess that indicates his actual field of expertise.
I am pretty certain that desmond tutu, mandela, sidney poitier, snoop dog and spike lee are on that list.

Not many people realize:
1. “judged by the content of their character, and not the color of their skin” was NOT first written by MLK
2. large parts of his PhD dissertation are said to have been plagiarized
A powerful speaker? Yes. But there is more to the whole picture....
I am so sick of the double standard. Here’s obviously a racist, and he gets away with it with no negative repercussions because he’s black. He could make the point with almost every single one of the list, but then he paints the whole NHL, and I’m sure it’s because there’s hardly any black players there. Could you just imagine if some white professor did the same thing, but with a list of over-rated black people, and mentioned the NBA within that list? He would lose his job over it, because nobody wants their kids taught by a freaking racist. But it’s okay because he’s black?

Every time I hear that “America has had many Presidents but only one King” phrase, I wanna throw up.....
Tebow is a very good football player. Tebow has realistic goals and abilities. Ask the Steelers if he’s overrated.
I just saw him throw a beautiful pass downfield that was dropped!
He’s a winner all day, everyday!
But these people are definitely NOT overrated:
Elvis Presley: One of the greatest popular singers of the 20th century (along with Crosby and Sinatra).
Ronald Reagan: Won the Cold War; the most revered figure in the conservative movement.
William Shakespeare: Are you kidding me?? Shakespeare is one of the most important, influential figures in the history of Western Civilization! The most imporant writer in the history of the English language!
Babe Ruth: The greatest baseball player ever, probably the greatest professional athlete ever, his stardom transcended his sport.
Bill Walton: I saw Walton play many times in his prime. Terrific all-around center, one of the best ever, when healthy.
I have a list started: Obama; Farrakhan; Jackson; Sharpton; Waters; Cummings; Holder; . . . .
Yeah, sure. I wonder what Prof. Marc Lamont Hill, Ph.D. would have done when, had he been in Columbus’ place, becalmed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean in command of three ships whose food and water are running low, the decision rests with him and him alone to continue or turn back. Yeah, Columbus is overrated ... until you step into his shoes.
Brilliance comes easily when you are looking backwards across five centuries.
And, oh, his shoes would have been several sizes too big for you, Marc, even though he didn’t have a Ph.D.
Measure for Measure (2.1.113)
Seriously? That’s his reason? Ridiculous.
As Gen Honore said, he’s “stuck on stupid”
We’ll have to agree to disagree. He’s a great kid, a terrific story and a role model but he’s a BAD quarterback. Really bad.
Actually, the guy in the picture is of Italian ancestry.
For Insulting Elvis Presley Mr. Marc Lamont Hill Please Go stand at the Intersection next to Graceland.
Ronald Reagan: The Man who did what your side said could not be done; Beat the Soviets.
For Insulting President Reagen Mr. Hill, go lock yourself in a cage with Rabid Actor-Monkies.
Justin Bieber: Not One of my Favorites, but I know he isn't trying to out do "R&B"
Donald Trump: Whatever Trumps Failings, I am sure he has helped more people than you ever will Mr. Hill. Please go jump off the Trump Tower.
Prince Harry: Despite his poor judgement from time to time, his comment to his duties is unquestioned. Which I am sure that is something you know very little about Mr. Hill, Please go fly RAF Copters in Afghanistan in Prince Harry's Place, we need him more than you.
Tim Tebow: One of the best of this current crop of NFL stars. You could use a lesson in Humility Mr. Hill, so please show us how to Blitz please.
President Ubama's Economic Team: A Bunch of Putzes like you Mr. Hill.
NEXT
William Shakespeare: Than man who made the English Language what is today. Please equal that achievement Mr. Hill.
Babe Ruth: A Person who was the best at what he did and made no apologizes for it. Mr. Hill, please bat-a-thousand (without steroid use)

Joel Osteen: What you said about Joel Osteen Mr. Hill, all applies directly to you.
The Whole NHL (except Wayne Simmonds): Please continue to spit on a whole sport and their fans Mr Hill, I am sure the Hockey Players are most impressed once they glue a Puck to your face.
Bill Clinton: You are correct Mr. Hill, for all the wrong reasons. Tell me are better off under Slick Willy and Barak Ubama than you were during say President Eisenhower?
Eminem: Slim Shady, doing what black rappers have aspired too and failed since 1997.
Bill Walton: Mr. Hill you weary me. Sufficed to Say Bill Walton deserves his spot in the Hall Fame, something of which you will never be apart of.
Sarah Palin: A Leader of the Conservative Moment and one of the Greatest Threats to Comrade Ubama's plans.
Finally for insulting Sarah Palin Mr. Hill, please either go take a long walk off a short bridge into a Polar Bear pen or GTFO OF MY COUNTRY YOU USELESS PUTZ!
He’s not unheard of, he is a pal of Bill O’Reilly.
He has been spewing pro black, socialist crap on The Factor for years
