This country succeeds because there is no system of self serving avarice that seeks to stack the system so only winners excel.

NO, this country succeeds because of the American spirit fiercely Independence and the “Ambition” that brings out the best work ethic in the world and enables any person to move from being dirt poor to the middle class or with unbelievable goals to become among the richest.

There is nothing that gets in the way of the American Spirit to Achieve.

On its face that is a mostly true statement.

A couple of MAJOR problems:

1) everybody is getting a fair shot - Translation: Those who are too lazy to pull themselves up will be subsidized by those who are.

2) everybody’s doing their fair share - Translation: Those who are successful are paying what I say is their fair share of taxes.

You always have to read between the lines and look at the meaning of the code words with liberals.

What’s wrong with this statement is that Obama’s policies have consistently shrunk the middle class. If he’s the man for the middle class, why is there fewer of them and more poor?

I have always believed that Obama’s world view is that of a sophomore university student who has taken a few sociology classes and think they have the answers to all the world's problems. Of course, in his case, he came to that point probably already having had a fair amount of indoctrination into the philosophy of his liberal parents, and uncle ‘Frank’.

The bottom line is that in the America that most of us remember and love, it is possible for anyone to become one of those ‘few at the top’. The reality is that when people reaching for the top don't make it all the way, they wind up populating the middle class. That's a good thing, but Obama doesn't understand it. His world view is, like so many on the left, one in which there are only Tiny Tims and Scrooges.

Right on!! Just another classic example of just how debilitating the disease of liberalism is on the human mind.
It rots out the ability to think objectively and logically. Basically turning them into zombies, mentally speaking.

Now the Pres wants to be overseer of what he perceives to be acceptable measures of a person's 'success'.

There are fewer middle class jobs, higher taxes, and rising costs. These are not helping the middle class, which pays the taxes so that Obama has money to hand out to his supporters.

The Middle Class ranges from those who are just short of wealthy to those who are a few rungs out of poverty. It doesn’t matter to the Kenyan Overlord where the growth occurs.

Knock down all the upper middle to the lower rung

Elevate from poverty to lower rung of the middle

Knock the wealthy down into the upper middle or lower.

Putting my money on it I’d bet the Administration’s target is for everyone to be in the lower rung just a few steps above poverty.
