Gas Prices Are Exploding In California And Experts Expect Them To Get A Lot Worse

When Errol Emrich drove by a Shell station in his San Jose neighborhood last weekend, regular gas was selling for $4.05 a gallon. On Monday, it was $4.15. On Tuesday, $4.25. And this weekend? Analysts say it could reach a whopping $4.40. Problems at California refineries have slashed supplies across the state, cutting fuel production and raising wholesale prices -- the price stations pay for their gasoline -- by as much as 73 cents, to levels not seen since 2007. And that almost certainly will boost prices at the pump again soon. "California gasoline prices may surge in the next five days, perhaps to levels higher than February's $4.33-a-gallon average," said Patrick DeHaan, an analyst with Gasbuddy.com. "It is within the realm of possibility that average prices reach near $4.40 or even higher if the situation worsens."

$10 a gallon gas in California on November 6th would cause a political earthquake.

I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:
"Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal] levels in Europe." - Barack Obama's Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

I've sized mine to fit twelve to a sheet of easy to remove bumper sticker stock...
I will send a dozen stickers to anyone who FReepmails me their address.
I will send the Excel file to anyone who FReepmails me their email address, PROVIDED they promise to only use removable stock.

$10 a gallon gas in California on November 6th would cause a political earthquake. Does that mean they'd vote the Green Party instead of Dems?

Cool. Maybe the remaining conservatives in the state will flee to the north and turn Oregon and Washington into Republican states. :)
To: E. Pluribus Unum
i’d bet just $9 a gallon will do the trick.

Actually Obama is sending gas from ‘safe’ states like California to ‘battleground’ states to keep their prices down until the election.
...
Well, wouldn’t he if he could?

Barry’s toads in the state run “media” said that the people living in this country love the new, higher gas prices.
