Ray Nadeau, a retired U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, as well as a Vietnam Vet, and fellow Patriot Guard Rider, suffered a stroke Tuesday evening while in the Los Angeles area visiting family. Ray is from Westwood California, is 85 years of age, and a great friend. We have ridden together on quite a few PGR missions missions in Northern California and Western Nevada. Ray underwent surgery following the stroke, and word is that he is doing well at this time.
Ray had been in a motorcycle accident on August 18, 2012, while riding with a group of PGR members for a mission to escort a fallen U.S. Army Soldier from Oroville, CA to Quincy, CA. He escaped serious injury, but did have bruised lungs, and a broken rib. He was in LA to complete the process of probate for his recently deceased sister.
Ray is an absolutely fantastic person - definately a member of the Greatest Generation of our nation. I consider Ray a great friend. I personally appreciate prayers rendered for Ray and for a full recovery. SD
Prayers for your friend and our hero to recover fully from this stroke. God give him strength and courage to overcome
one more enemy!

My prayers now for God’s blessings.
I received an email this morning that Ray is doing well. He will be staying at Providence St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank for 2 to 3 days. He will remain in Burbank with family for follow up medical services for a couple of weeks. I will update as more information comes in. Thank you all for your prayers for Ray. SD
