CNN's Jim Acosta on Tuesday's Situation Room asked what many will think was a truly offensive question.
"If you were to somehow beat the first African-American president, what would you say to the black community to assure them that you would be their president also?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Thank you, I’ll be here all week.
“They were just baiting him, trying to get him to say something they could use in a political ad against him.”
This will go on all day every day right up until the election. On a positive note, this destroys the illusion for white liberals that racial harmony can ever be achieved; they know when ethnic unrest occurs they’d be killed as quickly as the next honky (which is why they never want minorities in their neighborhoods or schools).
Whites all across this Country saw the wrongs that had been done and acted on it WELL before bambi became president.
This country was on its way to colorblindness, many of us did not even “see” skin colour. But Oh no, that's not friggin good enough.
I'm sorry, but this is my observation. A lot of blacks got pretty friggin uppity when bambi crowned his little affirmative action self.
Blacks in the stores I frequent, blocking aisles, not saying excuse me, being little shits! The black woman at 7-eleven YELLING at me because I “stuck my chin out!”.
I'm SICK OF THIS.
Let me tell you something black folk, your little boy-king has set you back - in my book anyway.
There are exceptions, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams and others, but as a race?
Eat shit. My Freedoms are worth well more that the color of your stupid skin - or what your ancestors - NOT YOU - may have had to tolerate (gracefully, I must say - your ancestors were far better than you will EVER be!).
Take your hurt feelings and your affirmative action back to friggin africa and leave me and my country alone!
I think his answer should have been to point the bias out in the question.
If I SOMEHOW win? What kind of question is that?
How will I assure Blacks I will be their president. Why woulnnt I be their president? Is color the only thing that matters in the black community. It it that racist? Are you that racially focused to ask such a bogus and divisive question?
Every President before the African k/qeen has been White.
Have blacks not prospered before now? The african k/queen has done NOTHING to help blacks!
How dare the media even ask such a question!
can anyone get more stupid than msm?
Whoa! Am I beginning to see the beginnings of reverse reverse discrimination?...lol
Start by getting them removed from welfare and food stamps.
That wouldn’t do it. The higher the unemployment rate, the more the love.. You see, a high unemployment rate keeps the black community on welfare and food stamps right where they WANT to be. You KNOW this is true because if it weren’t true, the black community would’ve abandoned 0bama long ago, riiiiight?
The same way that Rudy Giuliani was able to be the mayor of Black New Yorkers after David Dinkins’ tenure, by actually improving their quality of life.
I am dead serious here. I don't get it. What special things are they expecting?
He can promise to be an “American’s President”. If folks don’t want to acclimate and be Americans, they can FO.
I wonder if others feel shy about talking about Obama to a black person.
Yes, I feel shy talking to black people about Obama.
No, I'm sick of their attitude. During the Chick Fil-A thing, I got into it with a couple of black employees at a local Sally Beauty Supply store; the two women broke into a private conversation I was having to let me know I was intolerant to homosexuals because they heard me say I'd been to Chick Fil-A. I had just bought a few items, and after a, shall we say, spirited conversation, I threw them on the counter and told them to give me my money back, that they had a hell of a lot to learn when it came to customer service and good manners. So no, I don't shy away from it.
Incidentally, I was talking to a cashier at Sam's Club, and we were saying Obama had to go. The black man in line behind me said, "You got THAT right!"
Also very good. Time to end Obama’s war on people of color.
