A friend and I were talking about then election today when a black guy walked up to the market line we were in. He looked and acted friendly and he had probably heard some of our comments. I wanted to ask him who he was supporting, but I chickened out for fear of the racist backlash.

I wonder if others feel shy about talking about Obama to a black person.

"I wonder if others feel shy about talking about Obama to a black person."

No, I'm sick of their attitude. During the Chick Fil-A thing, I got into it with a couple of black employees at a local Sally Beauty Supply store; the two women broke into a private conversation I was having to let me know I was intolerant to homosexuals because they heard me say I'd been to Chick Fil-A. I had just bought a few items, and after a, shall we say, spirited conversation, I threw them on the counter and told them to give me my money back, that they had a hell of a lot to learn when it came to customer service and good manners. So no, I don't shy away from it.

Incidentally, I was talking to a cashier at Sam's Club, and we were saying Obama had to go. The black man in line behind me said, "You got THAT right!"
