At 49% now, but what happens when it creeps to 55% percent or so? Will the 55% vote for anyone or anything that threatens the freebees .... I doubt it. What we will have is the 45% giving up, fleeing or more likely fighting.

Does anyone have the breakdown of the total? How many are on Social Security? Now many are government employees? How many are military? How many are on food stamps? How many are on Social Security disability? How many are on welfare?

This trend of redistribution will be almost impossible to reverse. And this election will be very close but hope that the majority of Americans do not want to live under communism. That is where we are headed.

This story vindicates Romney for the morons that needed to read the truth. Glad to see it.

And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free(loader) and the home of the brave.

What counts is the NET.

Is a household a NET tax consumer, or a NET tax payer?

How can anyone take this seriously when it includes the military, everyone over 65 who is a part of a mandatory pension plan called social security, military retirees, etc.

The strangest thing of all is that it says “”49 percent — lived in households that received government benefits”” “someone” in the house collects a government check, what kind of “fact” is that?

Do we measure left handedness, by the percentage of Americans who “live in a household” with someone who is left handed?

What Romney should now explain are the reasons why those on fixed incomes must go on food stamps and apply for other “benefits” such as energy assistance etc.

The price of ; goods, services ,food, as well as the cost, use, and type of of energy resources, particularly coal, and oil, have all been driven up by Obama through his endless edicts, use of regulations and prohibitions all designed to change the systems of distribution and use of pleantiful resources to conform to his socialist scheme or ideal. Without any regard to the consequences. After all let US remember “to make an omlet ..”one must break a few eggs” and the one who made that remark and the followers of that ism who repeat it.”

I for one would like to see just who is getting what! If Social Security and other programs that were supposed to operate as a form of insurance into which the recipients have paid in, that’s one thing. But I’d like to see the magnitude of those programs where the recipients haven’t paid in a dime.

Yet not a word about tens of millions of illegal aliens about how they’re choking off our healthcare, jails, social services, schools, welfare, hospitals etc.

A small example

Dallas Morning News: Parkland Hospital leads nation in illegal immigrant births

Sherry Jacobson reports that 74 percent of the total 14,872 births at Parkland Hospital were to women who are believed to be in the country illegally.

(In just one year, at one hospital)

Study: 70% of Texas’ illegal immigrant families receive welfare

Certainly this was Obama's plan all along,
But what clueless Romney misses : all 49% do NOT want to be freeloaders. They want something better.

Speaking of the 49% freeloaders, wasn't Ryan holding up his Mom being on SS and medicare as a positive example? To get those freeloaders votes ? Now Romney says they are lost.

Republicans are confused with these mixed messages. Romney-itis

Social Security should not be included in “government benefits” I receive my own benefit, the govn. just cuts the check. I paid in to Social Security and my husband paid in to Social Security. He died before he received any. When I reached the age I could collect, I had to choose between mine and his and could not have both.

That isn't fair, two paid in but only one gets paid out. I chose my husband's, so I lost the money I paid in. I don't want to hear anyone complaining to me about people collecting their social security money they paid in.
