VANITY: There has to be a distinction. Help me to understand it.

Am I the only one that has noticed that while everyone else, when refering to the "video" the phraseology is, "a video that is offensive to Muslims and/or Islam". BUT, when Obama speaks about it he ALWAYS refers to it as a video that is, "offensive to the prophet Mohammed". What is the code that us Westerners are missing?

He calls Jesus the Messiah, or Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, doesn’t he? No?

He is professing that he believes Mohammed ISThe Prophet.

“He’s no damn prophet in my book.”

You are correct Sir, in those apology pictures, he is a “Profit”.

Just as Bastiat dissected socialism down to legal plunder....so to is the religion of Islam....socialism eventually gets down with the beheading just like Islam.

Socialism simply tries to be a little more patient.

It’s all about the money, man.

Absolutely brilliant observation. It is the same difference as my mother, a devout Catholic, referring to Saint Thomas Aquinas and my secular professor at university referring to him as Thomas Acquinas.

“It said that this prohibition comes from the fact that Muhammad was, to put politely, was not much to look at, the term ugliness, ugly, repulsive-looking is what is said about his appearance, facial features.”

Especially in his later years when the ravages of ‘The French Pox’ were becoming more than evident not only in his looks but also in his actions.

He is getting us softened up for the future banning of videos that prove to be “offensive to the Prophet Barack.”

“He also remarked that he was the last holdout refusing to stop using the N-word...”

The “N-Word”?

You mean the one derived from the Latin word for “black”?
(”niger, nigra, nigrum black”) http://www.coolschool.k12.or.us/courses/121510/lessons/assignments/13/13-4.latincolor.html

The Latin word that is just slightly modified to give us the names of two African countries populated by people of a black skin color? (Niger, Nigeria)

That “N-word”?

(BTW, the Latin word, “Honky”, means “those who are scared to death of offending ANYONE!”

Think it speaks of Obama’s sympathy to the ones offended.

Insulting to Muslims. The Muslims are offended. It’s their issue and problem because of their sensitivities foreign to most Americans.

Insulting to the prophet. 1. Admits he is a prophet. Do Christians, as Obama claims to be, believe this?? No. Contradicting Christianity makes him (Mohammed) a false prophet if anything.

But more to the point it’s an insult to Mohammed. So the problem is with the insulter / offender.

muslim sewage never just say “mohammad”, they either refer to “the prophet “ or to the “prophet mohammad” out of respect for the drunken, murderous pedophile.

I have noticed this before but this evening it really struck me.

I think he uses that phrase for the same reason he does not use the phrase "Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ".

I absolutely agree with what you said, however, to me that is the obvious answer. What I am trying to get to, and I imagine it would take a former Muslim to tell me, what is the “code” in phrasing it as he, IMO, purposely does.

I did not catch that (well done, by the way) but the rules of English would make them very different statements.

Offensive to Moslems would be to those religionists.

Offensive to the Prophet Mohammad would mean an assumption that Mohammad presently exists, is aware, has a status which should not be denigrated.

A devout Christian will try not to sin not so much because it would offend other Christians, but because he would offend the living Christ.

You caught Hussein as surely as did Stephanopolous.

AP news stories always refer to “the Prophet Mohammed.” They do not however refer to “Jesus Christ.”

What is the code that us Westerners are missing

That he believes that Mohammed is really the "prophet." You can refer to Mohammed without identifying him as the Prophet. Observant Muslims can write of Jesus without identifying him as "Lord."

Anyone who did not consider mohammed to be a prophet, myself included, would avoid referring to him as such.

Obama calls himself a Christian, but no Christian would call mohammed a prophet. That would be blasphemy, given mohammed’s rejection of the Trinity.

So, at best, Obama is a blasphemous Christian who considers mohammed a prophet. Not the best choice for Sunday School teacher.
