Verenice Gutierrez picks up on the subtle language of racism every day.
Take the peanut butter sandwich, a seemingly innocent example a teacher used in a lesson last school year.
What about Somali or Hispanic students, who might not eat sandwiches? says Gutierrez, principal at Harvey Scott K-8 School, a diverse school of 500 students in Northeast Portlands Cully neighborhood.

Amazing what the modern unionized school administrators have learned and are now enforcing on the young skulls of mush that parents entrust to their “care.”
Liberal academia. A scurge upon America. If I was raising my kids again, they would not get near a government indoctrination camp EVER. They would go to a real school not run by union socialists and get a GOOD education, even if I had to work two jobs to do it.
This is ridiculous. Ignorance of what foods a culture eats does not come close to being ‘racism’ by any definition.
I guess this definitely rules out a BLT.
I honestly don’t know how much longer I can tolerate these liberal race baiting nut jobs....
this is a Bullsh*t sandwich (now then, is THAT racist!?)
I read the whole article and don’t understand a bit of it.
Liberals can’t wait to get a snapshot of President Romney eating watermelon at a family picnic.
Milk is racist too - more ‘white’ is sold than brown.
If they were smart, the remaining white folks who had kids in that school would yank them faster than Speedy Gonzales.
I’ve always heard of Peanut Butter and Jelly(never have liked it), but never “Peanut Butter and Jam”. Am I just missing something?
I once knew someone that liked to eat Peanut Butter sandwiches with Mayonnaise and bananas. That’s just disgusting, IMO!
Same stuff we have heard for a while now. Supposedly standardized testing can’t be done because certain students don’t understand some of the questions if it has something to do with something they don’t personally experience in their cultcha. *yawN*
What it really means is any potential testing that might prove union teachers aren’t doing their jobs is a threat so.....
Are there exemptions for transgenders, Hispanics, and union workers?
Yeah, I don’t bother with the bread. I just slice the banana into quarters, spread Mirsacle Whip on each quarter and top it with a good sized dolop of peanut butter. Yummy light lunch.
What's the big deal? A torta is a sandwich--and I've eaten many a pita bread sandwich.
Mick sang about it in Some Girls
So I guess my Wetback and MuzzieSlime sandwiches would be out of the question?
