That’s EXACTLY why you SHOULD run for office. Because you sound like you value Duty, Honor, Courage, and Integrity.
One good man at the local level...at the county, at the state level, ultimately at the national level - can do a mountain of good far beyond his own expectations.
We need Americans - men AND women - who walk the walk and talk the talk - who value those very same ideals - to occupy the law-making legislative bodies of the country.
AS the Late Colonel Jeff Cooper (Semper Fi, Colonel, and RIP) said, men who can “Ride, Shoot Straight, and Speak the Truth”.
When we DON’T have that...well, then we get what we have right now. We get the Babs Boxers, the Slimebag Schumers, and Di Feinswines, the Obamas, etc., pushing their subversive communist ideology on the country.
THIS is what we get when good people stay away from public office.
When Good Men leave the arena, the scum come in and fill the vacuum - and bayonet the wounded.
And just as bad are the RINOs with no spine - those worthless, useless idiot “Moderates” who can’t decide which side of the fence their on. They’re even more contemptible because they’re gutless and pretend to be for us, and all the while letting the other side gut the country.

I have been a GOP state delegate since 2002...I ned to take a break, because the corruptio I saw at the local level mademe ILL!,So I am all too aware of the corruption at the higher levels of government...all in all..I prefer serving my country in the military, and I did....to serving it in government whhich I see as nothing but corrupt on BOTH sides of the aisle

It’s corrupt because good folks left the arena.
Power attracts the lowlife and repels the good. But the good NEEDS to be at the helm, regardless.
People who actually WORKED for a living, raised kids, put their lives in harm’s way, been hungry, cold, and worried about the electricity bill not being paid - these are the people who NEED to be legislators, because these are the ONLY people who understand what real life is like at our level - not some overpaid, pampered ACLU lawyer turned career politician who’s been sucking at the public teat for 30 years.
What does THAT “thing” have in common with ANY of us? Nothing...not a damned thing at all.
People like Col Allen West, Sarah Palin, Paul Ryan, Gov Scott Walker, Michelle Bachmann, are good folks, and the Tea Party movement is scaring the hell out of the Corrupt Bastards Club.
We just need to keep pushing these lousy career criminals out of office, one office at a time, and replacing them with Patriots who will do what is best for the Country before themselves.
It might take our entire lifetime to do so...but what else can we do? Roll over and GIVE it to the other side?
