We are still having lots of rain, thunder and lightening.
I managed to ride (in between storms) the Harley to the shop for much needed tires and an oil change, which should be ready by next week. They will also do a complete safety check on the brakes, etc.
They were the original tires, 24,000 miles and 20 years ago.
And balder than Telly Savales!

It is nice, considering I have to work tomorrow and Saturday! LOL!
At least I’m off on Sunday! That’s always a good thing!
Hope your day is going smoothly! :)

Thank you, Kathy. We haven’t heard anything since they started the trip, so I have to assume everything is ok so far.
Makes me a bit nervous, though. Being a mom....and grammie.... :)

He seems to be doing well. Frustrated because he can’t drive under OK law, but as far as I know, he hasn’t had another seizure. Thank God!

Good morning, Kathy!
*HUGS*
Happy Thursday! I had an appointment with the orthopedist this morning - the x-rays show I'm healing well. Next visit in two weeks.

All should be well, the weather is nice over there...

Thanks for that. I imagine that is about when they took off from Albuquerque. I sent a text to Krista since David never has his phone on (*rolling eyes*) but she’s driving so probably can’t answer.
I know if something were wrong, they’d get in touch. This family is really not very communicative! LOL!
Including yours truly......FR notwithstanding. LOL!

WOOHOO!!! Healing well is good news. Are you getting around well enough?
BTW....we got our front porch stairs completely replaced. Now all the rotten wood has been replaced with treated wood and we are good to go for many years.
It a hand rail for your porch in the works? Do you use them daily? Only visitors use ours. We drive into the garage and enter the house from there.
Keep healing!!

Luvvie, it’s time to go ahead and call them.
They’re headed for rain between Willcox and Benson and that’s not good this time of year. Hydroplaning is especially a problem.
The key to safely driving here in the monsoon is to keep a goodly distance between yourself and traffic ahead, even if it means slowing way down; don’t hit the brakes on wet pavement; and if you have to get off the highway, get way off and turn your lights off. When visibility is less than 100’ (very common) drivers will follow the taillights ahead of them, not realizing the vehicle ahead has stopped!
The rain storms move quickly, so they aren’t going to lose much time by slowing down.

Good to know. I should have read this first. David is a good driver in rain, but not sure how Krista does. They are responsible, so I trust that they’ll be ok. Maybe they’re through that area now.
