As horrible news broke this morning about the death of Christopher Stevens, U.S. ambassador to Libya, at least four graphic photos purportedly showing his death during the savage embassy attack began circulating. The man in the photos appears to be the ambassador, but some reports indicate Stevens died in the hospital.

He looks like he had been deceased for a while because of the coloration (blood pooling) of the skin. But I’m no expert.
If Libya wants to live like a stone age animal, I think we should help them. When the survivors flee into the desert, the rest of the Muslim world will notice. And yes, they will complain, but they will also respect & fear...
Mitt needs to totally change course and make foreign policy the centerpiece of his campaign, just focusing on the economy is a losing proposition.
More than likely the Marines either (1) were not authorized to have loaded weapons due to Political Correctness or (2) were ordered not to fire until word came from Washington.

If the terrorists hadn't used this sorry video production as a catalyst for attacks on our embassies and personnel, they would have found something else to use as an excuse. It's merely a momentary convenient mask for what is just plain murderous intent.

The later photos show him dead, either being carried over someone's shoulder or laying down and there is blood and a gash on the head.
The Marines ROE was probably only to fire if the felt their lives were threatened. The Egypt demonstration was carefully staged. They probably hoped for a few dead demonstrators...give them a new excuse for a riot..

Knowing Marines (including someone who has served in that capacity and is a friend of my daughter (SSgt, USMC)):
The first job of the Marine guards in the embassies is to secure, defend, and destroy if necessary, all of the cryptographic equipment, codes, ciphers, programs etc that might fall into the hands of the enemy if the embassy is in danger of being overrun or invaded by your enemy. If they overrun one of our embassies, that makes them the enemy under long-established standards of diplomatic conduct.
They kind of need to be armed to do that (I see the latest reports suggest two Marines were killed).
Were these coordinated uprisings a plot with his Muslim Brotherhood pals to provide him with a diversion from his domestic failures - a lead up to an "October Surprise", in which Obama (who "killed bin Laden") will initiate a tough response to these incidents?
The excuse that a movie drove these mobs over the edge on SEPT 11th doesn't pass the smell test. But it might explain Hillary doubling down on the state department's statement. Michelle Bachman's exposure of Hillary's "body woman's" connections to MB prove that Hillary is thoroughly compromised, and Obama has already said he will "stand with the Muslims".

I’m fuming mad this morning over this. We were attacked on the anniversary of 911.
There needs to be a harsh response! The only thing these savages understand is military power greater than theirs.

Stevens has a similar background but not the military experience.
It is interesting that he was a political officer for Damascus, Syria - Jerusalem, Israel, - and Cairo, Egypt.
